MCC retired Posted September 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2011 These 3 Day Sales are becomming commonplace. Another one begins tommorow 9/21 . Previewed the sailings and rates , again nothing for me to get excited about as a past guest . May be good rates for a first timer  Your TA will have the details . panamatiger Posted September 21, 2011 #11 Share Posted September 21, 2011 Just out of curiosity I checked todays sale prices. Our sailing of April 2012 is down to the same rate we got during the Labor Day sale for the OV. We did save $400. Seven months and counting... PennyB Posted September 21, 2011 #12 Share Posted September 21, 2011 I'm new to Princess, but have booked an Alaskan Cruisetour next August. Do they ever put the Alaska on sale?
cherylandtk Posted September 21, 2011 #13 Share Posted September 21, 2011 Yes, Alaska does go on sale, but I don't think for the cruisetours, just the cruises. I received the mailer card (balcony for OV price), but I see that the 3 day sale which starts today is also freely linkable by anyone online. There is an ad link at the top of the CC page. Having clicked that, and signing in, I see that my 'offer' is now the better of both sales. On some categories it is the price from the mailer, on others it is the price from the three day sale. Not sure if you have to start with the link for the sale, or if it shows up anyway if you go directly to Princess.com.

Daisy_Cruiser Posted September 22, 2011 #18 Share Posted September 22, 2011 does anybody know if you can apply a FCC to this sale? I saw the fine print stated it was not combinable with "past passenger offers", but I wasn't sure if FCC's were included in that category.

WVBill Posted September 22, 2011 #23 Share Posted September 22, 2011 Just re-booked my March 25, 2012 Ruby Eastern Caribbean Category E cabin and saved $240 - got $25 OBC too! :D I tried during the Labor Day sale but Cat E was wait listed at the time so I couldn't do it. funkygirl2 Posted September 22, 2011 #24 Share Posted September 22, 2011 I contacted my TA about this sale. The prices on the Princess website were the same as we paid but there is an OBC being offered. I was told that she would have to cancel our reservation and book a new one in order for us to receive this credit. Therefore, we could possibly lose our mid ship cabin if that number doesn't come up. Have others experienced this? We passed on the OBC as we really want a mid ship room! Any advise?? WVBill Posted September 22, 2011 #25 Share Posted September 22, 2011 Yes, I had to cancel and re-book but there were cabins available in my Category so I was able to re-book the same cabin.
