Allure pictures to go with my review

Hmm, I dont remember seeing them, maybe someone else that has been on the ship will no for sure. I did see some "beds" by one of the other pools. They looked pretty disgusting though and you could not have paid me enough money to sit on one.

Does the Allure have the big round double sun beds with the retracting canopy in the Solarium area like on the Oasis? I really enjoyed these while on the Oasis, and was looking forward to them on my Allure cruise next year. On the Oasis, there were around eight of them near the hot tubs. Didn't see them in any of the pictures.

So sorry your cruise was not enjoyable.

We were on the Allure for the eastern cruise in October. We had an absolutely fantastic cruise; and will be going back on her next October for the western cruise.:D

You have amazing pictures and I love viewing them and reading your review.

There are no cocoon beds at the solarium as on the Oasis.

Our first port of call was Labadee. Like I said before I did not care for this island. It is just too Disney for me, I would rather go to a real place. A crowded beach with 6000 people is not my idea of fun. We did manage to find a quiet place to hang out, but we arrived early in the morning before the masses came out. Trick is to get out there before breakfast is over. The masses are not going to leave their pile of bacon for the beach. Like clockwork, as soon as breakfast was over the island got crowded. Being shuffled around in trams, the buffalo were herded to the beaches. It was quite a site. Here are some pictures of this man made beach.

Great pictures thank you. I'm curious about something. You been on several cruises with other lines and rci. Did you research this cruise at before booking it?

I can't wait for my allure cruise but I knew I would not like the western ports so I booked the eastern one.

I understand completely that you had group go with you so the choice may not have been yours to make. Glad you enjoyed what you did.

Yes, I did research it, however you are right, the group wanted the Allure. We also did not choose the western as much as we chose the date. It was the only date we could come up with that fit all our schedules. This trip for us was not about the ports or the ship, but more about spending time with family that we do not get to see that often. I am glad I got to see and experience the Allure, I would just never do it again.

The ship is so big and has so much to offer it is basically impossible to get pictures of everything. There were a few things i missed too like the casino. I did not realize it until I got home and started going througn all my pictures. There are a few things I wish I took more pictures of as well. The thing is, I had my camera with me most of the time, just with all the running around trying to get to place to place on time, who has time for pictures? Somehow I was able to take about 1300 of them though.

Great photos. We were on the Allure the week after you and I regret not taking pictures of everything on the ship, like the hot dog stand and the Schooner Bar.

The problem with adding the pictures as attachments here is that they only allow a file size of 19.5k for each picture. The way I embed them into the post is first I post my pictures to webshots.com. Once they are in webshsots, I click on the picture I want and then click on link. I choose the largest picture size and it generates a code for a forum like this one. I copy and paste that code into my post and it pulls the picture into the post. Works great, however if i ever delete the picture from webshots you would not be able to see it here. Try it, it works pretty well! You can also use other third party picture hosting sites like photobucket or one of the others. As long as you can generate the code you are good to go.

How do you get pictures to show up in the body of the message? When I do it they always appear as attachments that you have to click on.

Our cruise date was 12/4/11 and I was able to make my reservations about 3 months prior. Not sure if there is an exact amount of time prior that they open it up, but I would start looking around 3 or 4 months prior. I was able to get all the shows, but some of the restaurants were already booked for prime times.

Just one question, how soon will they allow you to make reservations for the shows?

And again, thanks for taking the time to post the pictures and the review.
