Passport renewal

Sent in the renewal forms a week ago Saturday via USPS, received the new passports today. Less than 2 weeks turnaround!

When it was time for us to send in our -- I got mine back in about a week and DH got his back in 3 weeks -- and they were sent in on the same day.

We sent ours in about 2 weeks ago, no new ones yet but we are not in a hurry (unfortunately).

For those who want to get quick turnarounds always good to send them overnight mail and to pay the extra amount to receive them back via express mail.

We sent them in priority mail, but did not request expedited as we aren't leaving until November.

 

We mailed them both at the same time, got them back a couple days apart. I was really surprised it was as quick as it was.

This is the same experience we had earlier this year. My husband renewed his in January, I think it took 10 days without priority mail fees. I sent mine in a couple months later, same scenario.

 

Just don't wait until the last minute and you won't need to pay extra fees, get it done a couple months in advance.
