re-re Posted October 13, 2012 Author #55 Share Posted October 13, 2012 For dinner we both had the shrimp cocktail for starters, the main course we both had the Lobster and we shared the prime rib, We didn't eat dessert, we were to stuffed . After dinner we wanted see the comedy show but it didn't start til 10:00, so we went into the downbeat lounge for a drink they had a nice band playing our kind of music...we call it grown folks music.:D This became our favorite bar our bartender was Oliver and is seriously insane. Oliver said he wanted to be a comedian, I told him to go for it, if your going on the Destiny anytime soon have Oliver to do his Michael Jackson and James Brown for you, it's hilarious. re-re Posted October 13, 2012 Author #62 Share Posted October 13, 2012 So after sitting in the downbeat lounge listening to the smooth sounds we missed to comedy show, oh well I'll catch the 11:00 show. We decided to go to the casino to kill some time, i won another $100 bucks and when i asked my husband what time it was, it was after 1am, darn it i missed the second comedy show, i love comedy and could never seem to get there on time. We went to our room and ordered room service because my husband was hungry, i wasn't really hungry at that time of night but i couldn't let my hubby eat alone:p So i got the Chicken fajita wrap with salsa and it was very good and my husband got the tuna sandwich, he said it was good and we shared the Chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was to die for, i should have gotten my own piece, but i promised myself not to pig out and gain a lot of weight on this cruise. re-re Posted October 13, 2012 Author #67 Share Posted October 13, 2012 So after having coffee and relaxing on the balcony it was time to start getting ourselves together for the day, We had to be in the palledium (is that spelled right) lounge at 9:45 to meet for our excursion. My husband really wanted to do the Bob Marley Bus Adventure, The tour was a lot of fun if you know what to expect, a few people on the tour was not prepared. This is the old school bus that took us on the tour, no air conditioning but it wasn't to bad, had a nice breeze going up the mountains. Inside the bus was pretty cool, nice sound system and pictures of Bob Marley and his family. This is Gary. He was very entertaining and told us Bob Marley's life story, i learned a lot of things i didn't know.

I love this picture of my hubby, Who plays in the water with a cap on their head...Lol. Loving your review and pics! My first cruise with Carnival was on Destiny and we had a great time. re-re Posted October 13, 2012 Author #70 Share Posted October 13, 2012 We started the tour with some Rum Punch that was really good but kinda strong, later on i understood why i would need a drink that strong. We drove up the mountains on a one lane road but it had twoway traffic:eek: The driver blow the horn nonstop to let other drivers know that he was coming around the blind corner at what seemed like 80 mph, at this point i was ready for another rum punch, i almost broke Ivan's hand because i was squeezing it so tight, I was petrified, which Ivan found quite funny for some reason. The mountains are beautiful once you get past the fear of going over a cliff. This kid scared the crap outta me, He popped up outta nowhere asking for a dollar, and the bus was still moving, i prayed that he didn't get ran over...He is a cutie though:)
2 cruzen Posted October 13, 2012 #71 Share Posted October 13, 2012 More, more, I want more. Great start. We're not even booked on the Destiny, I just love reading reviews. Next up for us, Breeze in March. Really enjoying your writing and the fantastic photos. I'm so right there with you....love looking at other people having fun and hoping for food/excursion pics. We are going on Breeze in Feb and have an extra large balcony. Re-re, 2 questions - what is that yummy looking blue drink you had first night of the cruise? Also, noticed something similar when your whole family was having dinner. 2nd Q: was the lounger already on your balcony or did you have to ask for it? The first night i was drinking a drink called the Twilight zone, and the drink i had at the diner was called a Miami storm, They taste a lot alike but the Miami storm is just a tad better. The lounger was already on the balcony it also had three chairs and a small table.:)
