re-re Posted October 13, 2012 Author #77 Share Posted October 13, 2012 Our first stop was at a place called Bumper Lawn, their we got something called a beef patty, for some reason i was thinking a beef patty was a burger, it wasn't a burger but it was tasty. We also bought some souvenirs from bumpers before we continued on our journey to Bob's house. This is Bumper the owner, very cool dude.

re-re Posted October 13, 2012 Author #79 Share Posted October 13, 2012 The scenery is beautiful in Jamaica. We finally made it to Bob Marley's House, First off i want to tell folks their is a reason this tour is for adults only, Weed is all over the place, you can even smoke in the bar, the guide told us if we saw the police at Bob Marley's house to ask him for a light...lol. There was no pressure to partake if you didn't want to. I have noticed every review I've researched about this tour the person telling the story always says that they didn't partake, So i'm gonna claim the same;) They mean it, you break you buy. 2 cruzen Posted October 13, 2012 #80 Share Posted October 13, 2012 The first night i was drinking a drink called the Twilight zone, and the drink i had at the diner was called a Miami storm, They taste a lot alike but the Miami storm is just a tad better. The lounger was already on the balcony it also had three chairs and a small table.:) thanks for the info. Can't wait for that extra big balcony. Cruising with grown kids who have an inside right across the hall. Need that extra space. btw - you and your husband looked great on elegant night. Loved your DH's jacket. re-re Posted October 13, 2012 Author #83 Share Posted October 13, 2012 This is the little girl that's in the tree asking for money, So Captain Crazy comes out and ask her why isn't she in school today, the child says because she didn't have any money for school, Then he go's on to tell us that in Jamaica that if the kids don't have money for lunch and bus fare that they can't go to school, he said it cost $7 bucks a day for a child to go to school and that he have seven kids. So everyone on the tour gave money so the child can go to school, Now it's not that i didn't believe that the child needed money but i did think the story was rehearsed. So after we tipped everybody at the Bob Marley place it was time to leave. We boarded the bus and returned to Bumpers lawn for lunch, we had jerk chicken and rice and peas, it was okay. On our way back to the ship somebody had a car accident and the cops stopped us to let the driver know that we couldn't get through, this is where i start to panic we are supposed be back on the ship by 4:30 and we only had about 15 minutes. The cop. We were able to leave after about 10 minutes, and we made back to the ship late. I'm so glad we payed the extra money to take this thru the ship because we would have been the pier runners that day. So happy to see the Destiny still at the pier. maddea20 Posted October 13, 2012 #85 Share Posted October 13, 2012 We woke up early Saturday morning, The day that i have been waiting for over a year was finally here, My hubby had this idea that we wouldn't leave the hotel until 12:00 to get on the ship so he wouldn't have to lug our carry on around until 1:30:rolleyes:...Hahaha I Love my hubby, he's so cute. Of course i had other ideas and checked out of the hotel at 9:30 got a taxi and was at the Port of Miami a little before 10:00. This was taken in the taxi. I got Zone 1 Boarding, I was so excited. You would have thought i won i free car. Us being silly. You are funny lol. Your hubby thought he was saying something huh. Don't have to carry around luggage until 1:30. Well you showed him. Ha Ha. Ok still reading your review. I was on the Destiny last yr and we had fun. Cute ship. Thanks for your review. I like the pics so far.

re-re Posted October 14, 2012 Author #87 Share Posted October 14, 2012 After we got back on board the ship we went to the room and showered and took a nap we were exhausted from the heat and rum punch. It was good to able to take a nap, that's something we never get to do at home. After our nap we got up and got dressed for dinner, as we were leaving the room i asked my hubby what time it was (I forgot my watch) He informed me that it was just after ten...Yep we missed dinner, so we went to the lido deck and got a corned beef and pastrami sandwich, after we went to our favorite bar and had a few drinks and chatted with Oliver for a while. re-re Posted October 14, 2012 Author #88 Share Posted October 14, 2012 After we left the bar i wanted to go to the casino and pay the slots, we went back to the room to get some cash and our room had been cleaned we had a friend waiting for us. My luck was not so good tonight in the casino, i lost my $50 bucks and i went to find Ivan and he was playing this machine where you drop a quarter and it pushes off more quarters, so i stood and watch him play about $50 bucks to win $5 dollars worth of quarters:rolleyes: Now i roll my eyes because i asked him for a few dollars so i could play the slots and he told me nope, we split a hundred bucks you spent your half. So after he lost his part of the money he gave me his quarters that he won and i played the 2 cent slots and won our money back...hahaha Now he wants to be my friend and get some of my money, so i decided to share but first he had to say my favorite slogan Women rule and men drool:p hahaha I know that's mean but it was too funny. re-re Posted October 14, 2012 Author #96 Share Posted October 14, 2012 We woke up early again, We decided to go eat breakfast before getting off the ship since we didn't have any plans for the day, the buffet was a madhouse, lines everywhere, we made a mad dash to the elevators and went to the main dining room for breakfast. The main dining room was a great choice, we were seated right away and the food was good. Ivan found his hat.;) After breakfast we went back to the room to get our things together so we could get off the ship, of course i sat on the balcony for about a half an hour. The Disney Magic was in Grand Cayman also.
