Mariner discount booklet onboard?

I'm a seasoned royal caribbean cruiser, but I'm going on my second Holland America cruise in March. As a returning mariner, will there be any discount booklets or anything available on board? On royal Caribbean, they have discount booklets waiting in the cabin for returning members. Thanks

I received some type of discount coupon book in my cabin on the Westerdam last month. I thought it was due to our Mariner status. Our companion in the cabin next door did not get one. I let her use some of the casino coupons--a buy one entry get one free into the blackjack and slot tournaments with purchase.

We have gotten them on occasion and never really found them too useful. You need to buy something which may or maynot be what you want. By the time you buy something, the ship has already made their money on anything you get for "free"

Those booklets are mostly from the TA's.

We've seen them but never used anything from one.

We use PCC and they don't provide the discount books but that's okay.

HAL's loyalty program is quite a bit different from Royal's. There isn't really a lot of stuff on board but the 2 biggest benefits for me are the lunch in the MDR on embarkation day and the Mariner Champagne brunch mid-cruise. At that brunch you will also get a HAL tile which I find kind of a nice souvenir.

I haven't really used my coupon books on either (not sure I've seen them on HAL but the list KK mention sounds familiar). On Royal the only ones I use are the internet and perhaps the discount on 2 photos (Enchantment will be my first C&A Platinum and [Zaandam] Veendam will be my last as 2-star on HAL). HAL does have the internet discount but it applies regardless of Mariner status if you buy in I think it's the first 24 hours.
