I want to be Dorothy on my next cruise so I can have droves of handsome men around that adore me, take me dancing all night, and then help me shop for dresses and jewelry in port!!

They usually don't let pets on board...:(

But I'm positive they'll make an exception for TOTO!!!:D:p

I found out for myself how low cruise standards have fallen when on our last night, I forgot to leave out a bra for the next day. Why didn't my steward check my luggage and remind me? I had to walk around the next day with a carryon in front of my chest.

Just got back from my cruise & I have several complaints:-

The waiters would bring me a gluten free desert every evening & gluten free bread.

Butler would bring me gluten free toast in the morning & gluten free sandwiches for tea. Not only that but he would make my tea properly in a pot & pour it.

But the most annoying complaint & valid one is that my husband has refused to employ him & the stateroom attendants full time. I'm sure you will all feel the same outrage on my behalf.

I know a good divorce attorney.

I hate that I have to butter my own toast and how am I expect to adjust to putting points on the toilet paper at home all my myself....jeez!

Sue

p.s. loving this thread making me laugh every day:)

Yes, I have looked in all the shops and none of the loo paper here has the little points on them:D.

How am I supposed to wipe clean all the nooks and crannies with out the point on the paper, it is bad enough that I have to do it myself.

I hate it when I have the perfect meal everyday, and nothing to complain about. Sizzling tableside steaks in a specialty restaurant, deserts dripping in calories. There must be something wrong with the cruise line trying to be perfect. Their standards are too high.:D

There in lies the problem, When someone only puts two cubes of ice in my drink, the standard has fallen straight away.:D

When they came out with the newer S-class ships, we were really hoping that they would use better quality building materials to correct the ongoing problems of the closets and drawers that we always encountered on the M-class ships.

But no, they obviously cut corners and used the same inferior, defective materials because the newer ships also shrink our clothing, just as the older ships do.

:D:D That just stings!

There's another massive flaw that everyone is overlooking though. Aside from the construction materials, EVERY SINGLE SHIP DESIGNER makes the same mistake. They include a GYM! Imagine that instead of wasting space on that silly gym, if they made the Sky and Cosmos Lounges two levels. No more Elite space problems, no more thumping from the poor souls who forget they are on vacation! :D

You are right of course, think of how many more bars and eateries they could fit if they got rid of the Gym.:D

My dog isn't Toto, but Celebrity not allowing him on cruises breaks his heart. This is on you, Michael Bailey. Although imagine the surprise in the naughty room if I tried!

On my last cruise I was charged over and over again at the various bars on the ship. On the last day I complained to guest services stating that I had zero recollection of consuming any of these beverages. The charges were not taken off. I'll never sail with them again!!

I cannot believe that you once you pay for your cruise you have all meals included but some places want to charge extra for eating in their particular restaurant or eatery. Don't they know who I am and that I have paid for the meals and also am a member of the glutton club. :p

I recently heard that the Rum Raisin ice cream will now only have 1 raisin. Apparently there is a shortage of raisins worldwide, and Celebrity is rationing.

If the had meant to include multiple raisins, they would have called it "rum raisins". It's like the difference between "bean soup" and "beans soup".

The casinos keep stealing my money. If I put a quarter in a slot, I expect it to be returned!

That reminds me... When they say the slots are tight, is that why I can't fit my wallet in them???:D

They really need to label slot machines better. Sure they blink, make noise, and are in the casino, but they are too easily confused for change machines. I put in a $20 and kept pushing the $1 for singles but didn't get anything back after 20 attempts.

  • 4 weeks later...

Couple of missed issues:

My "ocean view" room kept lookin over land.

My king prawns showed absolutely zero signs of being royalty

And don't get me started on all the so called complementary stuff - didn't notice a single toiletry, towel or cake saying a single kind word. Dumb objects!
