Why do people bring water on the ship. Does the cabin water taste bad?

No, it tastes great. Just many people have a bottled water addiction.;)

 

Taking on one refillable bottle per person is a good idea. Taking on a case is a waste of time, money and energy.

No. The people just think so. It would be interesting to do a blind tasting test to see if they can tell the difference.

Unless you are in a developing nation I don't see the need to buy water, period.

We;ve never, ever bought water! I think paying for bottled water is ridiculous! I pay my county for clean drinking water...why would I pay for something different? Same on a ship....the ship's water is fine.....after all, all of your food, drink and ice is made from the ship's water.

 

Unless you're drinking from a mud puddle or toilet, America's water, and the Caribbean's water is safe. Now....Mexico....I'd bring my own bottle (from the ship!) with me....they are NOT up to our standards.

Some people take water on the ship to then use in ports.

 

Others just feel that the water will be better than that of the ships and bring some to have on the ship.

 

Like most things a personal choice.

The water on the ships is way better than what comes from our taps at home.

So I can not figure out why people carry on cases of water.

We take collaspable water bottles that we fill on the ship to take on excursions.
