how to add 4* logo

First try copying this 4starMariner.gif and pasting it into your signature. If that doesn't work I'll give you another way.

Thanks for any help on this, I'd like to do it too. I use a Mac. When I click on the fourstar all it does is copy and drag, not just copy to carry someplace else on its own - to the User CP page?.

Maybe I'll try to click and drag it when I can get my signature page on the next your post. Here goes.

///////Nope, doesn't work. What is Plan B? Thanks.

Got it! Finally got the symbol to turn into words I could copy and paste: 4starMariner.gif

Go into "User CP" and edit your signature. Copy the following information and paste it into your signature. Remove the spaces before the "https" and after the "gif". Then save your signature.

Thanks that is the trick for those who kept getting only the symbol and not the words.

Thanks for the help with the stars! I have tried several times and couldn't figure it out! DUH!!!!

I got mine to work finally, now how do I make it dance and sparkle like others I have seen. :p

The trick is to get the instruction line in text and then copy and paste it into your CC User CP Signature line.

Shrimpboat's post gives you the line in text, and instructions about what part of the text to delete once you get it pasted into your User CP Signature line.

The problem I kept having was only seeing the symbol and not the underlying text that creates the symbol, which is why shrimpboat added the phony extra letter, which then needs to be taken out when you want to activate this line of text.

(Gawd, that still sounds confusing doesn't it. But it did finally work for me)

Now that you have the basic text to put into your USER CP, all we need now is for someone to provide the HTTP link to the animated 4 star or 5 star sparkly gif file.

Then you can replace the https:......one I gave you with the new one.

Clear as mud??:)

I think you can find them on Joannie's website.

I think you can find them on Joannie's website.

Thanks for the tip, but her website is as vast as it is legendary. Her star logo does dance and sparkle so I do wonder how she did this. Do you know where to look on her link to find instructions? Thanks.

Try this page. Hope it's the right one.

Wonderful display of stars, lovely to look at, but alas same problem how do I get them into my signature?

Thanks for finding that page. The Mariner luggage tags with the stars are a kick. I even heat pasted four gold embroidered stars to our fancy Mariners tote bag. Gheesh, nothing like wearing the team colors!

copy and paste one into your signature the same way you did for the static HAL symbol but use IMG and /IMG in place of the URL and /URL

Well, duh. Finally figured it out. I have to click the "QUOTE" first to deactivate the image links and turn it into the text line to copy, and then I can copy and paste. And then change the url to img and voila, there they all were. What a treasure trove. Thanks.

I was trying to "copy" off the post itself as it was when it first came up. I must have inadvertently dropped into the QUOTE form to get the first image line pasted by sheer luck. So at least for me, going to QUOTE before copying was the trick - using a Mac?

Thank you for figuring it out. I tried a couple of different things and had no luck. I tried your method and it worked. Since I have a little ways to go for 4*, I just changed the 4 to a 3 in the text and I now have a 3* animated Logo.

Does a Mac have a right button now?(I haven't seen a MAC in many years.)

The new operating system on a MAC (Mountain Lion and Maverick) now require you to hold down the CTRL key as you hover over the item and then click the touch pad (new equivalent of a right click). I think I read somewhere that if you have a multi-button mouse, you still have a right click.
