Reality vs. Desire....

How much snow did you all receive from this recent blast from Old Man Winter? In Southeast Michigan, we received between 7-8 inches.

Only 6 inches here, but very wet and heavy. Plus some sleet and freezing rain thrown in for good measure.

6.5" of snow here in mid-Michigan yesterday and unfortunately it's still snowing. :( Normally I would be keeping up with it as it falls but instead I was on a bus trip to Chicago yesterday. I've put it off long enough this morning. I'm getting ready to head out to shovel and run the snowblower. Yuck. My least favorite thing to do in the winter.

Another month an we'll be headed to a warmer climate (Ormond Beach FL) to finish out the winter. Oh, and there's the little detail of a cruise in March! :D

No snow, just cold and rainy (in Atlanta). Of course "cold" is relative. High today will be 46 (a warm spell for many of you).

How true ... "cold" is relative. Our high today is 54 in Columbia, SC ... but that certainly feels very cold to me. :o

Today it was -45 F with the windchill here.

The temperature itself was -31 F but with the wind it was -45 F.

It is AWFUL and FRIGID...

I am (needless to say) counting down the MOMENTS till we are off to LA for our Azamara cruise!!!

I may need two days to thaw just to be able to feel my fingers again!!

That's a bit much but I guess I'm the odd man out. Grew up in the snow belt of Pa. and missed having white winters so I'm loving the pathetic 2 inches of snow we got. Then when one is a skier, you actually pray for snow.:D
