Letter from Princess Credit Department

I received a call late today that my T/A received a call from Princess and there records show that in late September 2013 I received a credit of $164 and was overpaid by $48 in error. I have looked at my statement from last year to confirm the credit and yes it's true that I was credited $164. Yes I think what happened to me is an isolated incident.

Everything that they sent me was legit although it seemed strange.

My T/A will handle things with Princess.

Tom, what no rant about what a heartless, money-grubbing outfit Princess is and how you will never cruise with them again??!!.......:D

I received a letter from Princess in Santa Clarita, Ca from someone in the Credit & Collections department that shows a "Unpaid Booking Balance" of $48 with a hand written note at the bottom. It says "We refunded $48 too much in error. You received a credit of $xxxxx. Please return $48.00 and we do apologize for the inconvenience." No signature but at the bottom it says "Finance Representative" with a phone number. There is a second page with a form for payment that I can fax or mail in with a persons name on it. It also came in a Princess envelope.

It's for my May 23rd Alaska cruise on the star.

Anybody received a letter like this?

Tom:)

Hand written??? With today's technology I thought handwriting was a lost art along with writing a check.

Mike, I've voluntarily tutored seniors (!) at one of the local high schools for seven years. Believe it or not, some of them cannot read cursive.

They stopped teaching it in the schools in my district. Everyone will soon have an electronic signature. I'm waiting for abbreviations like R U and U R to be accepted when writing compositions.

Thanks so much for the update. Still think it's weird that you got a credit like that - was this before final payment? Or did you pay it off early?

The credit was in September of last year...long before final payment was due.

Tom:)
