C&A Points

Recommended Posts

When I got married, C&A gave me platinum status because that is what my wife is. I noticed that my points have been stuck at 40, even after 2 more cruises---guessing that is because I won't get more points until I reach 40 points without her help. She will be reaching Emerald on our next cruise, do I need to call again and have them move me to Emerald and then to Diamond when she reaches that level?

She did share a suite with a friend on our last cruise (she gets a police discount) and then switched cabins once onboard. So our points won't be the same anyways because she got double points, but I don't understand why my points haven't changed. I def used my C&A number.

I guess a long phone call is coming with C&A.

What ever points she has, you should have the same. Even if she cruised without you. If they are different call C&A to get it straightened out.

Call C & A at 800-526-9723. They have always been very helpful with us in the past with questions - I'm sure they will be able to resolve this for you.

This is good to know--my husband had always been treated at having y emerald status on board, but online it lists him as gold.

We actually had a heck of a time registering him with C&A at all since they insisted he had never sailed before (trust me, he was on the honeymoon!) Even searching for variations of his name and birthdate didn't work. If I hadn't had his sea pass card I don't know if we would have gotten it resolved.

The points that you see online will always show whoever has the higher point count. My husband's point total reflects my count since I've gone on more cruises than he.

Perhaps that is how it is supposed to work but in practice it does not always happen. I went on two cruises with my daughter and noticed that my cruise points were incorrect. When I called C&A and we went through my cruise history we finally figured out that my husband (unbeknownst to me) had linked our accounts. For a short time, he had more points because he took a cruise in my place. I then should have surpassed him but my points were not being recorded correctly due to the linkage. It took me half an hour on the phone but we got it figured out. I also had our accounts unlinked because we are at the same C&A tier status anyway.
