BYGOHO & OnBoard Credit ???

Recommended Posts

Has anyone booked the BOGOHO deal for 2015 on board and also received the on-board credit because they booked while on board? We sail in a week and I'm holding off booking a few cruises for next year -- but if you can't do both I'll book before we go! Also, are they still doing the reduced deposit on board? Any information will be greatly appreciated!

Yes, you can combine BOGOHO with on board credit for booking on board. The deposit is still $100pp for booking up to a JS on board.

Thanks again for the replies. I should have been more specific. I'd like the bogota fare and the D+ balcony discount And the obc for booking on board. Any thoughts if they would honor all three???

Yes, all three are honored on two of our cruises.

I assume she means the BOGOHO promo. My guess is autocorrect strikes again.

The honored both the balcony discount and the OBC from our NCCs on all three of ours, but you want to check your booking invoice after you're done booking to make sure their booking system gets it correct. On one cruise the insurance disappeared but the OBC was still there, and on the other two the OBC disappeared. We had to call to get everything corrected.

I booked a cruise on Independence for next year while onboard Allure last week. I got the BOGOHO, the diamond balcony discount, and the $200 OBC for booking a suite. Everything is combinable, but I don't think the BOGOHO rate is anything special since the prices were sky high originally when released.

Just booked 2 cruises last week while on Grandeur. We got the BOGOHO rate, diamond balcony discount, and OBC for a balcony on both. At first the diamond discount did not show up during the booking and she had to email someone to get it applied so be sure it shows up on the confirmation page.

Just a heads up if booking single occupancy during this sale:

On 1 of the cruises, I booked a second balcony cabin as single occupancy. They pro-rated the diamond discount 50% to $63 as expected and then only gave half of the advertised OBC amount($50 instead of $100) even though it is advertised as OBC per stateroom. The Loyalty Ambassador said they received a memo to process single occupancy cabins this way. I knew the diamond discount would be reduced, but I was very surprised that the OBC was too.

Thanks for all the clarification. Yes, I was posting from my phone and auto correct and I couldn't go back to change anything. I was/am talking about the BOGOHO (Buy One Get One Half Off Sale). I apologize for the confusion.

I appreciate all the info and I'll check the invoices -- I booked one cruise and then decided to hold off booking 2 others for 2015 until we are onboard next week... hoping to the the OBC.

I'm happy with the Sale prices... as I've been watching the prices of the cruises for the last 6 weeks. None of the ones I've booked (2) already or the 4 that I'm looking to book next week are any higher than they were prior to the sale. Of course, I'm hoping things stay the same until next Monday, but I do watch the prices daily. It may be that I usually sale in the off or shoulder season.

Again... thanks you everyone for your kind help and guidance.

Smart move to wait to book while on board. We booked 5 different cruises last week with this special and on each got $200 for booking a JS on board as well as getting the BOGOHO reduced rates. What a great promotion!

I hedged my bets and booked before I left just in case the prices went up. They did not so I booked onboard and came home and cancelled the other ones.

Edit- one of them did go up the day I got off the ship.

Thanks for mentioning this. I actually booked 4 cruises recently for 2015/2016 to assure I would get the cabins I wanted. I am hopefully going to rebook at the same prices onboard next week and cancel the original bookings when I get home. It was actually a lady at C&A who told me to do it that way.

The prices were increased before the sale, but not high enough to wipe out the savings. I received a reduction of over $1000 on the cruisetour I had booked two months previously ... I think that is awesome!

Emerald city- Are you saying you got the BOGOHO rate for a cruise you booked BEFORE the sale began? I thought all cruises for this promotion had to be booked in May only.

It was written that way, but they have been re-pricing existing cruises with no pushback. We re-priced three existing cruises, and saved $1800 in total. We also booked an additional 5-night cruise on Brilliance for March 2016, and it ended up about $800 less than the same cruise we just got off this March. For us, this was a great promotion:D

Did the LA notice that you had these cruises booked already? I have a few cruises booked but as I am cruising in a few weeks I thought about rebooking onboard to get the obc if the prices are the same.

Remember: RC reduced the amount of OBC that you get for booking onboard if you sail in an inside or ocean view. :(
