1. Almost impossible question to answer, they all differ in many ways and have their pros and cons. Ill try to address this answer at the end of the review.

2. Food variety? for lunch Carnival, for dinner maybe NCL, or RCCL? Not sure again maybe to early to comment on this. I make a lot of comments on this as the review follows along.

3. That depends on your humor type, Carnival has a lot adult of entreatment, but the comedy shows can be very dirty. I loved them. RCCL and NCL do a good job as well.

4. There is no competition here, DISNEY takes the lead and leaves everyone in the dust.

5. Again it all depends on the particular ship you're sailing, but I think I am going to have to say Carnival. Much more on this later.

Thanks for the feedback

Next Sat at this time I will be on board the Breeze :D:D

7 weeks from today, for our 2nd go-around on her.

Love that ship.

Hitting the Southern Caribbean this time.

That will be a first for us!:D:D:D

The restaurant was fairly busy. I would like to note that they are still not filling this venue fully, although they advertise it as an almost full venue to entice you to book it.

Interesting you say it wasn't full because we went and tried making reservations for that night or any night and they told us it was booked for the entire cruise. I asked why they were still advertising for it and she said she didn't know. I then asked her if we could be put on a priority waiting list for platinum guests and she said yes but it is already a long list. I had her out our names down anyway but never received a call. In all the cruises we have taken, this was a first as they are usually begging people to go. I loved this cruise other than this lady's attitude, we couldn't have asked for a better cruise! Your review is spot on.

Going to disagree with you here.

Sorry

You may think it's a waste of money, but you got on the ship at 11:55. Cannot access your cabin until 1:30.

!!

We too were on this cruise and were on the ship by 11:45 with no FTTF...cabins were ready at 12:30 not 1:30 for some reason. They made the announcement over the PA that cabins will be ready at 12:30 ...... Something new?

Great review so far. Looking forward to the rest! I'm deciding on the Oasis and the Breeze, and possibly Breakaway for my family. We will have kids 9, 7, and 3 and the time of our sailing, and I'm finding this review, and your reviews of the Allure and Breakaway very helpful in my decision. Thanks for taking the time to do this!

When you go to the spa the first day to get your "bands" they will also give you a silk bag with two scrubs and two loofahs. Last month on the Sunshine we also had a spa cabin and had the same experience. Our scrubs were Chocolate mint I think and Vanilla Jasmine. Both smelled great and did not sting. These are to be used either in your cabin or in the spa area. I'd recommend using the special showers there - it makes for a very nice treatment! Enjoy the Breeze and your spa cabin!

What? We never got that. Just the bands. Bummer.

Gambee - love the review, keep going.

Great job Gambee!! My next camera will be the RX100ll There is a 3 coming out. But to much for me. As far as the Fuji stick with the Sony. You will be a lot happier. Unless its the newer X-T1. But you already have the Nex so I wouldnt bother with that either. Besides most of it is the photographer. Looking forward to the rest!!

Everything!!!!:D:D

Honestly, this ship was amazing.

The décor, the staff, the food, the layout, the amenities, and the list goes on.

This ship is just gorgeous, and has all the bells and whistles.

I only have the Pride and Sensation to compare it to, but this will be our go-to ship, until the Vista arrives.

Just love everything about it.

Last year we did Nassau, St. Thomas, Tortola, and Antigua. AWESOME!

This year we do Turks and Caicos, Dominican, Curacao, and Aruba.

3 new islands. Cannot wait.:D

Have you been on the Breeze?

On this cruise, we had to ask 3 times to get our free scrub that you get with a spa cabin. And then we only got one. In the past they gave each of us one. The spa staff were duds on this ship. But it didn't stop us from enjoying the hot stone beds and therapy pool!

I wonder what the RX100III improves over the the second one. I have to research that out. Yeah, I did reserach the fuji and the brand has never been my style. I am an auto kind of guy, fuji tends to have too many manual controls.

Great review as always. I was wondering which ship do you think handles the crowds better, Breeze or the Allure?

That is an excellent question, I am not sure. For some reason I think the Breeze was not full during this sailing. I will say that the Breeze did handle it better during day 1. But both ships do an amazing ship at spreading the crowds.

One thing to note is that we never waited to be seated in the MDR on the Breeze, while on the Allure I waited for up to 30 minutes.

So maybe the Breeze?

Hello everyone, tomorrow is kind of a busy day for me. But I promise to at the very least start day 2 and get a few posts down. So keep an eye out for that, sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite :D

Thanks for another review Gambee! I have been looking forward to another one of your adventures. I'm sorry to hear about you and your bf :( You seem like a great guy and I'm sure you will find the right match for you!!

I am sure you will get into this later in the review but you mentioned you were not fond of the MDR food. What was it you didn't like about it? I have only sailed with Carnival and Norwegian so far but I found the MDR food to be much better on Carnival. NCL has a better buffet and more upcharge options but I have always enjoyed Carnival's MDR. Can you share why you felt disappointed?

I will thoroughly get into this, but overall quality just simply lacked... The lobster was very thought, food lacked flavor and variety was not there. I simply did not care much for it. But funny enough I think Carnival will score very high in the food category, why? Lunch, the breeze lunch options are just insane!

But yeah even compared with NCL, the quality was just not there. I think RCCL, X and Disney really have a much better MDR for dinner. Just my opinion you know. My memory gets triggered when I see pictures, so I will go into detail then.

Great review Gambee!! Lovin' it!

You mentioned early on about the pre-pay cruise option 'All You Can Drink' package. I don't see this as a current option for the Breeze cruise on 8/16 or any other for that matter. I know thay have an 'All you can drink' soda purchase that you can get when you board the ship (at least they did on my previous Carnival cruises). Being able to get alcoholic drinks would be an option I would like to get.

Anyone else seen this on their cruise offerings?

Thanks!

I know that a few in our group had it. To my understanding you can only purchase it once you board the ship on selected bars. I think the casino bar is the one selling them, just not 100% sure on that one.
