Thank you all! As expected, the crew made a fuss and made all the other guests jealous! Lovely meal in La Champagne? Lucky me. I am so grateful to HAVE another birthday. Juneau. Surprise...cold and wet. Off to ship some salmon home.

Well, Taku is out of salmon! Should have shipped it last week. The day improved tho', sunny and warmer. Evidently big doings in Skagway tomorrow for the 4th! Lots of people sitting around the deck admiring their whale pix.

We've ordered on line with Taku since our first Alaska visit in 2011. Happy Birthday! So lucky to have a whale escort. Jealous! Hope we get one too in late August.

Enjoy the rest of your voyage :)

Forgot to report on the CC M&Ms. I think everyone showed up. Last segment we had library1, jtm, travel bug, strawbs and other halves. This segment, a larger crowd, jordy, shawski, yourSLCwoman, IBtraveling, southseassue et al. it is really fun to meet fellow posters and put names to faces. Very pleasant people, enjoying themselves.

Sorry to interrupt, kids. ;-). Last evening Duke did his pre dinner show. Opera. Awesome. Jessica joined him for 3 arias from La Boheme. Blew. My. Socks. Off! Venetian tonight in the Observation Lounge. Must be a small crowd. On our way into anchorage at Sitka. A beautiful, bright, sun-shiny day. Otters, Raptors and Bears oh my!

There are about 70 Venetians on board. Unexpectedly, they all showed up. It turned into a real cocktail party with people chatting and moving on and chatting some more. It does not get ANY better than it is today in Tracy Arm. Bright, sunny, mid 60s, decreased ice pack. Got within .8 of a mile of Sawyer Glacier and it vibrated intense blue due to all the sunshine! The pool is crowded, the hot tubs are full, the bloodies are flowing and all is well.

Beautifully descriptive picture of the best place to be on a sunny afternoon -- wish I was there !!!:)

A beautiful day for cruising down to Victoria. Lots of sea day activities today, Chef Anne-Mari cooking, yoga, language classes, lectures on the Oil Pipeline and the NE Asia Cauldron, disputed territioies, shuffleboard, golf, blackjack tourney, lots os spa talks, Tea, trivia, pilates, bye-bye Party and a movie. tea isnow being served in the Terrace, as they do on the Spirit. it looses it's elegance and ambience. too bad I have to start packing. Oh well, not home for long!
