TheDivineMrsM Posted July 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2014 If my husband wakes in the morning, can he head to the buffet place and get a few cups of coffee to bring back to our room? It takes us a little bit of time to wake up and get ready for the day and we like having coffee while we do.
Shawna&Kristi Posted July 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2014 Why not just have room service bring it at a scheduled time . Sent from my iPhone using Forums
joepeka Posted July 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2014 (edited) Of course, and you can take the coffee (and any drinks really) pretty much everywhere on the ship. You could also have room service deliver it to your cabin. Edited July 11, 2014 by joepeka

If oasis class, you can get starbucks coffee in the morning The coffee at the buffet isn't good. Room service will also bring early morning coffee. I believe you can get coffee at the buffet at 7 AM Enjoy your cruise. Edited July 11, 2014 by Cruise a holic

Coffe - pastries - juice - pastries - tea - pastries - how much can he carry?!? :-) Yes, absolutely, he can! bouhunter Posted July 11, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 11, 2014 If it's early enough that the buffet isn't open yet, each ship will still have a coffee station somewhere:)
nascar junkie Posted July 11, 2014 #7 Share Posted July 11, 2014 Just my opinion...It's worth a 2.00 daily tip to have a pot brought to me each morning with some sweet rolls.
Magnetchief Posted July 11, 2014 #8 Share Posted July 11, 2014 We would order tea, coffee and fruit each morning. Then get dressed at our leisure before deciding on a venue for breakfast. Well worth a few bucks tip.
dacsmom Posted July 11, 2014 #9 Share Posted July 11, 2014 I love my morning coffee delivery from room service. But yes, you can go get it and bring it back to the cabin.
Wilda Posted July 11, 2014 #10 Share Posted July 11, 2014 Cafe Promenade is self-serve, I run down a few times for my go-go fuel.
knittinggirl Posted July 11, 2014 #11 Share Posted July 11, 2014 We usually use room service on port days. We start on the first sea day with a nice tip. Then they are prompt the rest of the cruise. Sent from my KFTHWI using Tapatalk HD
Iluvcruising2 Posted July 12, 2014 #12 Share Posted July 12, 2014 Yes. Cafe Promenade may be nearer, depending on where your cabin is.
Justmekaren918 Posted July 12, 2014 #13 Share Posted July 12, 2014 On Oasis isn't the donut shop Seattle best? When traveling back grab hot coffee & creamer on way home and let cool on counter and then put in cooler box/ refrigerator, and make sure I have fresh ice and get up in the am and have nice ice coffee on balcony and have more coffee delivered. Yum!
grab007 Posted July 12, 2014 #14 Share Posted July 12, 2014 As a true FIRST THING coffee lover myself, here's what I do... We bring along with us two car coffee mugs - the kind with lids. Since I am the first one up, I take the mugs to any of several locations where coffee is available and fill 'em up! Then I go to an open deck and spend a few minutes with fresh coffee and enjoy the moment. Afterwards I then head back to the cabin and present my DH with her first cuppa in bed. Just one of those neat enjoyable things we do on our cruises.
toxicfairy Posted July 12, 2014 #15 Share Posted July 12, 2014 Cafe Promenade is self-serve, I run down a few times for my go-go fuel. Dh is a night owl I am a morning person. So I would go down every morning to cafe promenade and get my self something cold, usually water and Dh a nice coffee to wake him up.
RCI Cruisers 004 Posted July 12, 2014 #16 Share Posted July 12, 2014 Do you have a balcony room or suite ? Nothing better than being out on it first thing in the morning having that first cup !
TheDivineMrsM Posted July 12, 2014 Author #17 Share Posted July 12, 2014 Yes, we have booked a balcony room. Morning coffee out there sounds wonderful. I like the tip about bringing travel coffee mugs, too, to get some ourselves or asking room service for coffee and sweet rolls.
Bcshur Posted July 12, 2014 #18 Share Posted July 12, 2014 My husband would go down and get us coffee in the morning but it was a real pain to carry! We started putting them in the travel throw away cups, but you have to watch because of how hot it gets on the outside while you are walking. I suppose room service would be best. :)
reallyhooked Posted July 12, 2014 #19 Share Posted July 12, 2014 We bring our own cups w/handle & lid. Makes it so much easier.
Riverwinds 13 Posted July 12, 2014 #20 Share Posted July 12, 2014 I throw a small tray in my suitcase and use to carry coffee and whatever in the morning. Some ships, can't remember about RCCL, but there is a tray under the ice bucket. These small trays really come in handy.
Langley Cruisers Posted July 12, 2014 #21 Share Posted July 12, 2014 I find room service coffee absolutely vile. I just do. I prefer to get my own in our travel mugs, and choose our own pastries too. A little pre-breakfast breakfast. :D
griffy116 Posted July 12, 2014 #22 Share Posted July 12, 2014 One of my favorite things about being on a cruise is the phone ringing and room service telling me they are on the way. I keep an envelope on the desk/dresser drawer with small bills because I'm "foggy" in the mornings. I get coffee and juice, sit on the balcony and enjoy a cup while getting ready. Some mornings, I go to the Promenade Cafe, grab a cup of coffee and go up on the deck and walk around, enjoying the fact that it's deserted and then go back to get ready for breakfast. cruisebabe50 Posted July 12, 2014 #24 Share Posted July 12, 2014 Last time we had our coffee and danish from room service. Went for a walk. Came back and ordered Mimosas. It was so beautiful sitting on our balcony feeling special with our Mimosas! I highly recommend. ;)
