Christmas gifts for staff

Just tip them like on a normal cruise.

However one person said she gave the staff photo's of herself and husband.

That way the staff can show their family members their favorite passengers when they go home.

I thought that was odd.

Haha. It took me a minute to understand this, but I chuckled when I did!

 

OP: Anytime a thead appears asking about ideas for gifts for crew members, the overwhelming response is: cash. Everyone likes it and everyone can always use more of it. :)

I love gift giving, but in this case, I have to agree with everyone. The crew works very hard for little wage. I don't know if you could possibly give them anything they would appreciate more than extra cash.

 

I do think a pretty card and a nice handwritten note helps convey your appreciation.

Money is why they work, so a bonus tip is nice. They don't have room in the little cabins that they share with others for "stuff"....

 

I know at Christmas (or Thanksgiving, etc...) when I've had employers that gave me a turkey or ham, I would rather have had the cash.
