I know that they used to offer Fencing on some cruise lines but I always wondered how they fixed the post into the deck.

I'd like to see Skeet shooting in the 270 area of Quantum. ;) Actually it could be done with arcade type guns that use light and the whole 270 screens could be part of a huge arcade game.

There was an adults archery competition held in the Labyrinth night club one lunchtime on our recent IOS cruise.

 

It was a port day so no ship movement and no injuries reported :)

actually just got off IOTS and I won a gold medal in their archery tourn.. they use suction cup arrows and the contest was on the sports deck where the basketball court is located.. very fun! and hard with the rocking and the wind too!

Like the archery photos shown - I have seen archery with the foam tips and targets also as shown in the photo.  It was not on a Royal ship.  It was an activity that took place top deck inside room.  (one of the big ones)  People signed up.  If there were too many people for the time allotted, they drew names.  You competed against a cruise employee.  Or against other guests.  Single elimination - with prizes.  (nothing big)  I tried it - not so good aim - but it was fun.
