Just called my PCC. $165 for 2 in a balcony cabin how can I not go. What a deal. Now to find a roomie....

 

Hey Geri, let me know which date you book, I am on all 3 and we can grab a drink in the casino, since I know that is where we will probably spend the most time. (I am in the B6's so it's not far to go smoke).

BTW they are going to have dragon & Lion dancers on the 2/13 sailing. I just booked my moms friend down the hall from us this morning with the year of the sheep comp they offered her.

I'm still trying to get someone to go with me. I'll be in Vegas for 2 weeks in February so cruising in febuary out. My nephew works for airline has a flight to Vegas for January 22 until 25. I might do that if I can't get anyone to go with me. Decisions decisions lol. I was in AC for New Years were you down?

Did the Chinese New Year two nighter last year, and it was great, and we are going again this year. Lion dance, lunch at noodle bar, and red envelope.....with 2 $25- chips. Crowded in casino but not overly( no worse than New Years in AC- love that place also) and the ship had great casino cocktail party too. ROA but no Burn the Floor

Oh damn yes I was staying at Harrahs that night but slept through the new year, I went to take a nap and woke up at 2am lol oh well I will try again next year. How did you do? I lost that trip.

Where do they do the dragon/lion dancers and when? There is nothing listed on the site and my mom is bugging me for information lol

I just priced the cheapest cabin for next weekend, and after fees and taxes, it's about $550 for 2 of us. Still cheaper than 2 nights in NYC.

 

Yep, we are looking at doing the 2 nighter next January and an OV for both of us is $760. Just priced a hotel in Manhattan and two nights in a Howard Johnson is $500. Factor in food and entertainment and the BA two nighter seems to be a steal:).

Dance was in the atrium. Sorry I don't remember the exact time -we just happened to find it, and also received no info from NCL (although I called to ask and emailed) I believe it was after lunch, prior to muster drill. I'll c if I can find any more def info or if DH remembers better

I was at the Taj. They had the big NYE party that was really nice and the big brunch New Years day. Of course we didn't win as usual lol. I wish I had slept through NYE I stayed up way past my bed time lol

Booked the Chinese New Year Promo... was comped BA Balcony and was able to upgrade to B9- Spa Balcony for $80 total (less than the cost of spa passes) Mrs. will be happy!

 

Are you hot or golden? I don't bother with the spa balconys since I am golden and get it comped anyway. I only recently started using the passes on the BA spa and am hooked. I hope I don't lose that perk when they change them come April 1st.

Oh ok gotcha, enjoy your dinner/wine, do yourself a favor and go down early to the casino to have them make your reservations, the weekenders can be hard. I plan on asking next Friday if they can set up my reservations for the following 2 weekenders then so I don't have to do it 3 times.

 

So I'll get all the perks for golden tier level on a 2 night cruise? I'm booked for 1/30 but I wasn't sure if we would get the specialty dinner and spa passes on such a short cruise.

Yes you will get it, what you will not get is the VIP treatment (aka Cagneys for lunch). You can still request cigarettes every day in the casino, have the 3% fee waived, dinner for 2 with a bottle of wine & the spa passes.
