Ombud Posted September 27, 2019 #228 Share Posted September 27, 2019 I want to know if I'll get cash back in AUD$ or USD$ if under $25. Also 'if' I win anything at the casino, will that be in AUD$? (Hopeful thinking) I need pocket money for Melbourne in addition to my charge card.
The_Big_M Posted September 27, 2019 #229 Share Posted September 27, 2019 You haven't said what cruise you're asking about. Cash back is in the onboard currency so if on local Princess sailings where AUD is currency, that will be what comes back. However, if e.g. RCL then USD is onboard currency so that is what you get. All casino payouts are aligned with onboard currency so winnings will be paid in that.

I'm being optimistic about winning anything in the casino but it's fun so I do it anyway. At any rate, I'd rather have any cash back in AUD bc I'll need / want some walking around money for snacks, drinks, buskers, etc. So at least I'm covered! It will be in AUD then, note that cruise ship casinos are much tighter /meaner so you will need some luck. Low amounts of OBC can be cashed out at guest services , even larger amounts, just say it is for tips.
polarman Posted October 28, 2019 #232 Share Posted October 28, 2019 What are the rules for boarding times on the Spirit. And, will cabins be open for platinum cruisers early? Thanks
Rare MicCanberra Posted October 29, 2019 #233 Share Posted October 29, 2019 Depending on the crowds, boarding times are sometimes enforced, sometimes not. Cabins are usually available by 1pm
Hokonui Posted November 29, 2019 #234 Share Posted November 29, 2019 Why do you not have provision for Dream Cruises? Is there a Roll Call for Explorer Dream 15/12/19 ex Auckland?

motto1956 Posted December 25, 2019 #238 Share Posted December 25, 2019 Has anyone recently cruised on the Maasdam? We are doing the 29 night Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific cruise early 2020, and are disappointed to read all the negative comments. This will be our 6th HAL cruise, and have not been disappointed so far. Will this be our last with HAL????
dillpickle48 Posted December 25, 2019 #239 Share Posted December 25, 2019 Our last cruise finished in November and we really enjoyed the Maasdam. Staff and food were great. Enjoy your cruise. Entertainment will not be to the same level as bigger ships.

Not sure if you mean premium, deluxe or luxury but I would think Cunard's QM2 out of NYC to Southhampton would be best suited.
Cootakid Posted March 1, 2020 #243 Share Posted March 1, 2020 Currently have a booking Singapore to Sydney on Regal Princess this November. What is the likelihood that Princess would allow me to disembark at Brisbane port 2 days prior? (Singapore to Brisbane fares were/are sold out). Not looking for any reimbursement as fare Singapore to Sydney appears to be actually cheaper .......
The_Big_M Posted March 1, 2020 #244 Share Posted March 1, 2020 It's a possibility, but you have to contact them to request permission, then see what they say. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
