What does not get old for you?

I leave in 18 days and all of these things are making me SO EXCITED!!!!

My best friend and I are teachers and this cruise will be our second spring break with drink packages. Last year, we tried (but failed because we made awesome friends at the pool bar) to get a drink at every bar before the muster drill! This might sound bad to those who don't drink, but we live 20 minutes from port and board very early- does that help???

So-- drinking without worrying how we are getting home, never gets old!

  1. When we first get on the ship, we go straight to the Sky Bar and try to make sure everyone has a drink in their hand by noon. Then we toast saying "you can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning." (Which is ironic because none of us are big drinkers these days.)
  2. I still love the ambiance, service and food choices in the MDR.
  3. Coming back to the cabin after a morning by the pool and finding everything clean and fresh.
  4. Meeting new friends in the casino in the evening.
  5. Falling asleep to the soft rocking of the ship.

In the past, I've also enjoyed the total darkness of an interior cabin, allowing me to sleep as long as I want. I have my first balcony in less than two weeks, and I'm sure I'll love that just as well.

Add me to the list of that first Bong of the Seapass card! Never gets old.

My first Wildberry Lavaflow and the glass (or two) of Champagne while out on the balcony for sail-away.

The 70's Party -- been there and don't a miss it -- love the atmosphere.

And one other -- meeting my always fabulous cabin steward!

That's a one word answer....well maybe 2...

Big Blue-the water, never get tired of watching it, swimming in it and being mesmerized by it! Puts me in my place....small:D

And the excitement of walking the gangway and hearing Brrrring!:D

I never get tired of the bong of the seapass card.

Love to watch the waves slap against the side of the ship and the wake the ship leaves behind; great view from the Windjammer, especially on Radiance class.

But, probably my number one is all the planning. Love it and since each ship is different and each port is different there is always a lot to learn.

I always look forward to walking onto the ship for the first time, always takes my breath away.

Also, Sail Away, especially when they blow the ships horn!

And taking in the ocean from the balcony at night - the smell of the ocean, the sound of the waves, the stars!!

Can't imagine that will ever get old.

As a frequent cruiser (almost D+), we have a lot of "Been there, done that" moments on every cruise. Like I can happily nap through the Belly Flop contest and ice carving demonstrations. Can miss the Welcome Show and Love and Marriage.

There are a few things that don't get old for me. For instance, the 70's dance party on the Promenade. Yes, it's the same every time, but I always make it a point to go and enjoy the music and dancing.

So for you experienced cruisers out there, what are some of your been there, done thats and what are some of your never gets old?

When I hear "welcome back"

Sitting on a foward deck at sunrise with a hot cup of coffee as we pull into a new port (its very peaceful and quiet)

Daily quiet time in the Sauna

Watching the running of the drunks as we are getting ready to leave a port....its a total hoot!

Saddest part - getting up at 0-dark thirty on last day and having to endure the infamous RCI exit strategy.

The very first morning watching the sunrise....the ship is so quiet, there is always a warm slightly salty breeze breaking over the bow of the ship, and off on the horizon St "Somewhere" floats on the bright blue waters.

Sunset is also something I never get tired of on a ship.

When I am on a ship, as the song says......"I watch the sun as it comes up; I watch it as it sets; Yes, this is as good as it gets."

parking that cell phone in the safe - you are dismissed from the muster drill.

standing on the balcony watching the ship cut through the waves (flying fish!)

full moon shining on the water

knowing I have my Honey all to myself (afternoon "naps" ;))

standing on the deck while the ship comes in to a port.

PS Cozumel Shuffle is not near as much fun anymore since pedicabs became available...

I never get tired of formal nights.... I know I am in the minority, but I love to put on a gown and see DH in a tux and then get a drink and people watch.:)

That moment when the luggage is all unpacked....big sigh.... let the relaxation begin.
