Problems We were above the Explorer's Lounge, and therefore got noise from the late hour performers. It did not affect going to sleep because we were tired from the day's activities.

Did not like the fact that the display outside the cabin had our names and whether we were present or not.

Comments Even obstructed oceanview is better than an inside cabin. We got daylight, and views of the coastline and ports while sailing.

Problems: Could see a dip in one of the twin bed mattresses, but the bed slept fine.

The room was always cooler than the outside hallway even when the thermostat was turned all the way up.    I had warm clothes for Alaska, so it was not an issue for me.

Comments: You could sometimes feel the ship moving and sometimes the bed's headboard vibrated at night.

I had the same problem and finally clicked on "Princess Cabin Compilation" at the bottom of the spreadsheet. (Spreadsheet link found on the first page of this forum) The spread sheet appeared and can be sorted using the various columns.  Good luck.

Couldn't find the spreadsheet link on the first page of the Princess forum.

Comments This cabin has full suite perks at a little more than a mini-suite price!  The location is ideal with restaurants, bars, piazza, casino and more on the same deck or just 1 deck up or down making is easily walkable.  Nestled in a private hallway just outside the theater, you can use your own restroom between venues.  It was extremely quiet even though the elevators are nearby.  A quick elevator ride up to deck 16 and you're at the Lotus Spa and close to the main pool area.  This particular room is the smallest of the window suites but that just means your bed is closer to the window for moon gazing from bed!  There are 3 full size closets in addition to several drawers and the vanity desk.  We didn't even come close to using all the storage. The bathroom is roomy and has 2 sinks, a shower with glass enclosure, and jetted tub.  Although there are no outlets by the bed, there are 2 US and 2 UK outlets by the vanity desk as well as additional outlets by the bar and in the cabinet above the bar.  We would not hesitate to book this room again and again!

Ship - Princess Discovery

Class - Yes

Deck - 15

Cabin #M410

Category - Mini Suite

Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern - Port

Connects With Cabin # - None

Accessible - No

Quiet - Late evening until early morning

Balcony Size -

View - Unobstructed

Privacy Issues - None

Wind - Normal

Soot - None

Problems - See comments

Comments - 1) Sea walk on 16 deck above has several lights below fully illuminating the balcony at night which makes night viewing of the sky or ocean very very difficult.

2) We have been below the pool area several times but this is the first ship where we could hear very clearly all the activity above. By 10pm each night it was silent and stayed quite until approx 7am so did not disturb our sleeping.

Other then these two things the room was fantastic and had good wifi signal with no problem even on sea days.

Room was underneath The Theatre but no noise problem. We can sense the movement as it's almost at the front of the ship. Short walk to the Plaza, Elevators. Plenty of Space. Air-Con was a bit hard to control and shower run a little too hot. Wifi was perfect in the room

Ship: Sapphire Princess

Class: Gem

Deck: Aloha (12)

Cabin: A420

Category: BB

P/S/F/A: Port midship

Accessible: No

Quiet: successful upgrade bid.  I was initially concerned about being across from the main staircase and elevators.  But it was never an issue. There was some occasional noise from rolling carts above, headed to the buffet perhaps.

Balcony size: standard (tight), fully covered, 2 chairs and a small table

View: unobstructed

Privacy: more an issue for balconies below. Not connecting.

Wind: none

Soot: none

Problems: everything functioned as it should.  I would book this cabin again.

A/C, water temp worked well in this cabin. Shower was too small to bend to wash your feet without hanging out of it. Only one desk chair to sit in. it was comfortable but no easy chair. First time in an inside cabin. Not claustrophobic at all, due to the many mirrored walls. Only drawback was I needed to look at my phone to see if it was morning.

Ship Regal Princess

Class Royal

Deck Dolphin

Cabin # D620

Category DB

Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern Mid Aft port side

Connects With Cabin # N/A

Accessible no

Quiet. Only real noise is when the ship is rocking.  Creaky noise is continuous.  No issues being close to the laundry.  Actually very convenient!

Balcony Size not very big but serves the purpose

View  life boat a deck below but not too bad otherwise

Privacy Issues none

Wind breezy when moving but not terrible

Soot none

Problems bed was hard, they finally found mattress toppers that worked.   We love the Princess mattresses, they indicated they just replaced ours so hoping the new ones are not all like this one was.

Comments  we love the location to the aft elevator and the laundry room.  The creaking sound was the only real issue.  We checked everywhere in the room and it was not specific to anything in the room.  You could hear it in the halls as well.  We would not have an issue if we were given this room again.

Ship Regal Princess

Class Royal

Deck Baja

Cabin # B429

Category M1

Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern:  Mid ship Starboard

Connects With Cabin # N/A

Accessible no

Quiet:  Very

Privacy Issues none

Wind: Normal, depending on ship movement/weather conditions

Soot none

Problems:   None

Comments:  This cabin is in a great location near the mid ship elevators.  It is one of a few rooms that don't share an entry way with the adjoining room, so no door slamming next door. The angled balcony gave extra room to stretch out.  We enjoyed the cabin so much we booked it again for a January cruise.

PS: Sorry about the pictures - I can't get them to post upright.

Ship Caribbean

Class Grand

Deck Emerald

Cabin # E733

Category S6 (Vista Suite)

Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern Stern

Connects With Cabin # N/A

Accessible N/A

Quiet Except when docking

Balcony Size Large but packed with furniture

View Aft

Privacy Issues None

Wind None

Soot Some White particles on chairs, far from stacks so I am not sure what it was

Problems When docking it vibrates in the cabin

Comments While it is directly above Club Fusion, I heard nothing from it.  The actual sleeping area is more above the promenade.  The lighting in the bathroom vanity area was poor.  The shower temperature control was super touchy.  This is the smallest of the Vista Suite cabins.

Ship Grand Princess

Deck Caribe

Cabin #C753

Category B4

Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern Stern

Connects With Cabin # not applicable

Accessible No

Quiet No

Balcony Size Slightly larger than normal

View Fabulous

Privacy Issues None

Wind Lots - but it was a rough trip in poor weather

Soot None

Problems None

Comments This was the first time we had ever booked an aft balcony, and we probably wouldn't do it again. The view was fabulous, but it was a rough trip in cold, windy weather and we really noticed the movement at the rear of the ship. We also didn't like the narrow configuration of this stateroom as there was very little storage space. It was fine for this very short 2-night trip but would have been annoying on longer trips not to have more closet space.

I'm late in getting on to this thread.  Is there a composite of all staterooms so far that have been described?

At the bottom of the first entry in this thread there is a link to a spread sheet that can be sorted by ship, cabin #, etc. Here is a copy of the link:

Comments My stateroom was in a good location. Since I love the Caribe Deck, as on this deck the balconies are partially covered/uncovered. Remember that there are extra plugs, if needed, above where the TV use to be.
