Ship Enchanted Princess

Class Royal

Deck 10

Stateroom # 101

Category Premium Suite

Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern Starboard

Connects With Cabin # NA

Accessible No

Quiet  Yes, for the most part. However due to its proximity to the bow there was considerable noise in the morning when we pulled into port due to the thrusters or anchor.

Balcony Size Narrow but long. Balcony included 2 reclining loungers with separate footstools, 2 side tables and 1 round table. Balcony was so narrow the round table for dining could not be set up or moved from the corner it was wedged in.

View Amazing view from the bedroom window of the bow of the ship. Balcony views also unobstructed.

Privacy Issues None

Wind minor when at sea

Soot No

Problems None

Comments The cabin had a large and spacious bedroom, with ample storage. It was more than comfortable for our family of 4. Previously we had booked 2 interconnecting balconies and were worried about the single washroom to share but it was never an issue due to the separation of the toilet from the shower and tub. Given it’s location in Forward, it was a bit of a trek to the main parts of the ship we frequented but we didn’t mind the extra steps as it allowed us to burn off the extra calories. Would rebook this in a heartbeat.

Ship - Island

Class

Deck - Fiesta

Cabin # - 502

Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern - Port, Midship

Connects With Cabin # - n/a

Accessible - no

Quiet - some noise from chairs on Promenade

Balcony Size - n/a

View - very large window

Soot - n/a

Comments - this cabin was a fantastic location on a hallway beside the Casino. There was no noise at all from the casino nor was there any smell of smoke. There was occasionally noise from the Promenade deck early, probably as they moved chairs to clean the deck. The window was very large and the ceiling higher than normal as this was formerly a publ space

Comments This is an excellent cabin and we would book it again. Its midship location is very convenient to everything. It is close to the lifts and stairs but not close enough to experience the associated noise. This is one of the recessed cabins that sits next to the 'bumped out' cabins midship. This means that people on the bumped out balcony next door can see into this balcony, but we did not find this a problem. We could see the balconies below us and the balconies above us could also look down on us. We did not have any issues with any of this. The balcony is large and has a fantastic starboard view. It is also partially covered and was still useable even on rainy days. The cabin itself was very spacious by cruise ship standards and had more storage than we needed.

Ship                    Ruby Princess

Class                  Crown

Deck                   Emerald

Cabin                  # E726

Category            Mini Suite

Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern    Port side near Stern

Connects With Cabin #  724?

Accessible          No

Quiet                   Mostly quiet, occasional engine noise when maneuvering near docks etc.

Balcony Size      Usual mini suite size

View                    Unobstructed

Privacy Issues   None.

Wind                   Usual amount

Soot                    None

Problems           None

Comments  One thing we liked about this cabin is the balcony is more private than the mini suites on Dolphin plus you are sheltered somewhat from weather because you have the dolphin mini suite above you. One slight drawback (not for us) was if you wanted to go to activities towards the bow you had a longer walk. For us mostly we wanted to go to places that were in the stern or midship so not an issue. There were elevators only a few cabins down from where we were with a quick ride up to the Horizon Court. Also being on Emerald you are only 1 level from the Promenade deck. You are behind where the lifeboats are so you don't have obstructed views as many of the Emerald cabins have.

Problems February 2023

- sofa bed was quite dipped towards the centre and not hugely comfortable for sitting on

- when the balconies get wet (rain or similar) the water seems to pool from neighbouring balconies onto this one and sits right by the door until it’s either swept away or evaporates

Ship:                 Ruby Princess

Class:               Crown Class

Deck:                10 Caribe

Cabin #             C 749 - Curaçao Suite

Category:          Category S3 - Balcony Suite  (Full Suite with Club Class privileges)

Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern:     Starboard Stern

Connects With Cabin:  No

Accessible: ?   Don't remember

Quiet:                Vibrations when docking/undocking, some gentle engine vibrations at sea. Not too bad

Balcony Size:   Large spacious balcony with one table and 4 chairs and 2 loungers + side table, plenty of space and a wooden rail along the back to lean on while looking aft of the ship.  The balcony has a blue grid material on the deck, assuming because there might be sea spray? It wasn't comfortable bare foot. Our party also had a similar suite up on deck 12, Aloha 751 was very similar but their balcony had a wood deck that was much more comfortable.

View:                 Great view of the wake behind the ship. Overhead is protected, there was always shade to be found.

Privacy Issues:  None

Wind:                  Protected

Soot:                  No issues with soot on my trip

Problems:          None

Comments:        We had a wonderful time in this cabin. It was quiet, and John our room steward did an amazing job. Enjoyed the club class dining, and the other perks that come with a full suite.  Soaking in the jacuzzi tub was lovely, and I like how the shower/tub is a separate room from the sink/toilet. Someone could be showering or soaking and the other bathroom area was still usable for others.  I highly recommend having breakfast on the balcony one day, in nice weather it is quite special to wake up and have a lovely breakfast neatly prepared out on the balcony. Just make sure to order it the night before.  Overall enjoyed this spacious room, we played cards, ordered in a few times, and hung out on the balcony plenty. Highly recommend!

This cabin has fresh carpet installed, they did it on one of the port days during our trip.

Quiet  Generally quiet. A little noisy from letting their doors slam up and down the corridor in the morning.

Balcony Size  N/A

View Obstructed view - between two life boats but does have a stanchion there. Still can see the seas and not bad.

Privacy Issues  None ithe area outside of windown really - on port days there is a possibility that workmen may be painting outside window.

Wind N/A

Soot N/A

Problems none

Comments 120 V outlets are at a premium. 2 skinny type on outside wall at desk. Unable to plug laptop and USB 2 position multiport side by side. Behind TV has one outlet available if your cable is long enough. Generally aging decor but was perfectly comfortable and spacious enough. Miss the extra seating. Only 1 chair for desk.

Our experience in E307 was similar.  I did hear some noise from the casino below.  There was amplified music and a voice but it was rarely heard and all was quiet from below after midnight.

As pointed out by the next post, the crew door across the hall slammed frequently through the night and morning.  Lots of crew chatter in the vicinity one particular morning.

Privacy: while there was window washing and painting outside the window, workers eye level was well below the window.

We brought a multi outlet extension and it served us well.

I agree they could have added another chair.  Ample storage space for clothes and baggage.  We were pleasantly surprised.

Problems Cabin had continual wet carpet.  They tried drying it but dampness returned. Princess was great relocating us to another cabin of equal category and location.  Also added an OBC for the hassle (without asking)!

Comments.  Room is great if leak is resolved.   Cabin next to us had water issues too but was resolved.   Think the leak emanated from our cabin.

Ruby Princess

Very quiet and private. The extra large balcony wraps around on one side giving excellent views. This is one of the best cabins on the ship. Very little wind and being covered offers great privacy.

Highly recommended!

Problems - could feel the movement of the ship on days it was rough at a sea but otherwise no problems

Comments - Close to the laundry, but couldn’t hear anyone going in and out. Close to the elevators at the back of the ship, but if you are going to deck 6 towards the front, you need to take the mid-ship elevators or if you take the back elevators, get off on 7, walk through the Crown Grill lounge and then take the stairs down a level. We used one of the pulldown beds. It wasn’t too intrusive, but in the mornings, since we used the one closest to the balcony, had to be careful walking around it. Plenty of room in the cabin for 2 adults and 1 teen.

Comments very nice cabin, easy access to buffet via aft stairs/elevator and mid stairs/elevator.  Balcony was deeper and seemed wider than Discovery Princess.  Would book these cabins again.  Could see the ocean below and could see all the way forward and aft of the ship as well as the sky.  Preferred the storage of the balcony cabin vs deluxe balcony with a small couch.  Liked the shelf and or bench in shower and adjustable shower head.

Comments - Didn’t really had many choices of cabins when I booked.  It was during the spring break of LAUSD so it was fully booked.  Really surprised with the layout of the bunk bed; no balcony access when my kids were sleeping in the morning.  The lifeboats are very visible.  They would show up on many pictures taken from the balcony.  Very small for 4 people.  I would not recommend this cabin if there other options available.

Problems Plate eliminating the gap between cabin and balcony is slow to close (2nd and 3rd pictures below) and the door to the balcony is hard to move

The light switch for the main lights should have two switches.  One to control the two lights by the door and bathroom and the other one for the light near the TV.

The switch for the two table lamps were very hard to turn on and off.

Comments

The room was overall pretty good.

The bathroom had a great shower.  The room can accommodate up to 4 people.  I was afraid the 3rd and 4th beds would be in the way.  The drop from the ceiling so there was not issue with bumping into them.

Passengers, especially children, could be heard when speaking loud.  There was noise from the adjacent cabins.  This was them opening and closing their balcony doors.

Comments:  Great location two cabins from mid ship elevators.  Sofa is low and hard.  Furnishings are dated but functional.  Balcony is adequate for two people.  I thought I would not like the uncovered balcony, but I rather enjoyed it.  We had great weather, so the uncovered balcony was better than I had expected.  I might feel differently if the weather had been different.  I would book this cabin again.

Sorry about sideway photos.  I can't find a way to get them upright 😒

What am I doing wrong?  I clicked on Google Docs and it pulled up a blank document.  I wanted to search a couple of cabins on the Coral Princess.  All I was able to see was the "instructions".  The rest of the document was blank.

Please post instructions for looking at the document.  I don't want to read 16 pages to find a cabin review.

Thank you

Inside Sideways cabin.  Just around the corner from the midship elevators/stairs, so great access to rest of ship.  Not a lot of "walkby" traffic.  When entering, bed to the right, desk to the left. Good storage (was solo, but I didn't use more than half the storage.  Automatic light in closet area wasn't a big issue but again, I was alone.  Would definitely pick the cabin type/location again.

I had the same problem and finally clicked on "Princess Cabin Compilation" at the bottom of the spreadsheet. (Spreadsheet link found on the first page of this forum) The spread sheet appeared and can be sorted using the various columns.  Good luck.
