DobberDog Posted September 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2015 There are directions printed on the tag. follow the directions. We staple ours and haven't had any issues with them coming off.
amyh13 Posted September 16, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 16, 2015 I fold into thirds, loop thru the handle, staple, then seal with clear packing tape.
AdGuyMG Posted September 16, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2015 Fold it into 3rds the long way and staple the ends together 2 or 3 times.
lizardhowson Posted September 16, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2015 Luggage tags are affixed to handle of luggage. Most place tape over the paper tag to keep it intact, Carnival has this info on their website http://www.carnival.com/Funville/forums/t/165198.aspx
javafish Posted September 16, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2015 Or you can get holders for them for a few bucks
Crusin Karen Posted September 16, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 16, 2015 I fold as instructed, THEN use packing or scotch tape to enclose the whole tag, then use a hole puncher near the top and put a double strand of yarn thru the hole and tie to luggage handle. magnetlady4u Posted September 16, 2015 #9 Share Posted September 16, 2015 Another idea is to put an extra copy inside your luggage. And always put your name and phone number too....in case you leave a suit case in the terminal at end of cruise! Opps! ( cost $25 to have it ups to us...got it in 3 days):)
thomarvin Posted September 16, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 16, 2015 I now have the plastic holders sold in the Cruise Critic store. But previously I folded as instructed, then covered completely in packing tape or you can laminate if you have access to a laminator. Then use a hole punch and use a cable tie to secure it to the handle of your luggage.
Rare mitsugirly Posted September 16, 2015 #11 Share Posted September 16, 2015 I have been printing them off and then I take some heavy duty packing tape and wrap them. Then once I get to the pre-stay hotel, I borrow the front desks stapler and put them on right before leaving for the port. So far, I have only had 1 tag "come off" (which was weird when we found it in the "lost and found" being held because the tag itself was actually put down in the side zipper...which to me says that they found it, but didn't bother to deliver it to where it goes). Our wonderful TA sent my daughter some plastic covers for her last cruise. I plan on getting me some soon.
evandbob Posted September 16, 2015 #12 Share Posted September 16, 2015 I've used clear plastic tape to cover the luggage tag. I go from one end of the tag through the handle and then to the back side. I then put a strip horizontally along the bottom of the tag. When we went on a Princess cruise tour to Alaska, the tags lasted through Delta, Alaska Air, the Princess Hotels, onto the ship, then back off to the airport to being handled by Alaska Air and Delta coming home. I needed shears to remove the tags from the luggage handles at home.

smyliecruising Posted September 16, 2015 #15 Share Posted September 16, 2015 I fold it all up, cover it in packing tape, poke a hole in it , then use zip ties to attach to cases and bags.
train460 Posted September 16, 2015 #16 Share Posted September 16, 2015 like others I laminate them then use plastic tie wraps to secure. no way that they come loose. I also put our name, address and phone # on a piece of paper inside just in case. Michael

hockeyluver Posted September 16, 2015 #18 Share Posted September 16, 2015 i print mine on card stock, i cut out only the important section in the middle, fold it in half run it through my laminator. silvercrikhix Posted September 16, 2015 #19 Share Posted September 16, 2015 We fold into thirds, cover them with packing tape, punch a hole in them and attach with zip ties. Worked every time without fail. We use Dh's pocket knife to cut them off once they are delivered.

Write your name and cabin number on them and attached using the included elastic string. Don't waste your time printing the stuff from home. Crusin Karen Posted September 16, 2015 #23 Share Posted September 16, 2015 I always print a few extra and slip them INSIDE the luggage too. This includes any pre or post cruise hotel info. Hey, ya never know when the luggage tag gremlins will get hungry!:eek: Happy Flamingo, do you want to change your upcoming Liberty date or did you sail her already LAST January.:confused: If so, we were on the same cruise!

dmdiver Posted September 16, 2015 #25 Share Posted September 16, 2015 I print, fold, packing tape, hole punch, but affix with ponytail holders that I can use during my vacation. I also attach to my camera case & tote bag just in case I forget them somewhere. Hasn't happened, but I like to be prepared. I don't like the ones at the port, plus I don't want to have to stop & deal with filling out a generic luggage tag in the parking lot. My luggage tag ritual is just part of getting ready for vacation. If I fly, I put them on after I get my baggage, not before. I have them in my carryon ready to go.
