bar1986 Posted October 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2015 I will be going to the Grand Caymans in Jan on Carnival and was wondering what is Carnival's track record on getting to the port on time. We are slated to arrive at 8am. Wanting to schedule the earliest String Ray tour I can. Thanks,
cb at sea Posted October 20, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2015 Most ship's are quite timely....only the weather can delay you....and that's nothing the ship can control!!!
Rare Keith1010 Posted October 21, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 21, 2015 In most cases there are no issues for any of the cruise lines. It is a tender port. The only factor is weather which normally is fine but you just never know. Keith
thinfool Posted October 21, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 21, 2015 The ship will be on time, but if the seas are rough, but not rough enough to cancel the port call, it will slow down the tendering process. IMO, any non-ship excursion you book will wait a reasonable time for tardy pax to show up. So you could hustle and get off the ship right away only to wait 20-30 mins onshore for your tour to assemble.
riffatsea Posted October 21, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 21, 2015 IF you book a non cruise tour and you do not have FTTF you may have to wait a while to get a tender to shore.
