The Classic Stateroom Bar Setup

Can someone give me some info on this please? The Celeb site says little.

Do you get a litre bottle of what you want?

They have Tanqueray gin there @ $52

You also get half a dozen little mixers as well?

While the $52 sounds off,

Yes, the bottles for stateroom setups are a full litre. Classic setups sure all the same price - $80. This includes six cans of mixers of your choice, as well as an assortment of mixed nuts. Beefeaters Tanqueray gin is included in the Classic setup.

They also offer a Premium setup of higher-end brands, such as Bombay Sapphire, for $100 per litre.

Dunno where you saw the $52 price?

Is the bar set up only orderable in advance, or can you order it onboard? If so, from room service or where?

If you order in advance, you don't pay the gratuitiy associated with the $80.00. Also, they no longer provide the nuts (which always tasted stale to me). I cannot remember ordering the package while on board, always had it waiting.

Yes you can order it when onboard. (at least last time I did which was a few years ago)

I believe it comes via room service but they'll direct you.

BTW, the size of the bottle is a litre.... or more depending on where the ship restocks

I just checked online and the high end bottles are now $130!!!!

(Bombay, Ketel One, Grey Goose, Gelnlivet, Jack Daniels, Crown Royal, Knob Creek)

Pretty much any of those can be bought for $30-$40 a bottle, well a bit more for a liter, but still a pretty good markup at $130

We used to get a bottle of Crown & a bottle of Goose. Now we just get the beverage package (normally as a perk), go to bar, get a shot & a separate mixer & go to our balcony (or put it in our friggie until we're ready for it). Not as convenient as pouring from our own bottle, but definitely doable (& less expensive). The mixers we'd get with the bottles always ran out before the liquor anyway
