S.S.Oceanlover Posted November 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2015 With the new sale has anybody had any luck repricing their currently booked cruises? It says new bookings only, so i was curious before I contacted my TA. Our cruise would be an additional $92 but would add an additional $300 OBC. bonniejp Posted November 11, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2015 My TA initially told me NO but I was politely persistent and made it happen. Cruise cost me about $120 more but with the OBC it worked out in my favor!
Retired LEO Posted November 11, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2015 I repriced 5 bookings and came out ahead.

iloverags2 Posted November 11, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 11, 2015 Our February cruise went up $13.50 per person, but with the OBC we came out $144 ahead. Works for me!

Bill Hey Bill...I call Royal for our cruise May 2016 to see if we qualified for OBC. We book in May 2014 (first BOGO 1/2) offer). In order to get the $300 OBC and the internet package the price of our cruise would go UP $982.17. Think I'll just spend my own $300.00 Edited November 11, 2015 by EleanorNoway
AndyT3 Posted November 11, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 11, 2015 I first tried to call the regular customer service phone number, and get my sailing repriced, but they just told me there was nothing they could do. I ended up having to call Crown & Anchor. My SJ had increased a total of $186, however, I would be picking up the $300 OBC, and therefore coming out ahead by $114. Every little bit helps! SnorkelBoy Posted November 11, 2015 #11 Share Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) Yes I was able to reprice an existing cruise and benefited $170 with the increase in fare. I have a total of $490 in OBC from RCL and TA. Dave Edited November 11, 2015 by SnorkelBoy
Catfish123 Posted November 11, 2015 #12 Share Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) Repriced my current balcony for a loss of $18 after the OBC, but gained VOOM for free. I made my wife happy. We lost our balcony discount of $125 by changing to the new offer. They said it was not combinable with the OBC. (Funny, because we Had $100 OBC before I call and it was combinable on the 30% off offer) Edited November 11, 2015 by Catfish123
AlwaysNeedSun Posted November 12, 2015 #13 Share Posted November 12, 2015 I repriced ours for Jan 2017, a balcony and an inside. The price remained the same but we got $200 obc for the balcony and $100 for the inside. Works for me and I will continue to monitor!!
Grandma Petania Posted November 12, 2015 #14 Share Posted November 12, 2015 I booked a CP cabin on Oasis for Feb. 2016 when I was onboard this past February. Today's price for that cruise is about the same, so I called my TA to see if we could get the $300 OBC currently being offered. She said that since I had been given $300 OBC when I booked, RC would not add another $300 OBC if I changed this reservation. Oh well, it didn't hurt to ask, and I'm still happy with the booking I made 9 months ago.
Big_G Posted November 12, 2015 #15 Share Posted November 12, 2015 Our booking went up too. There's only one cabin left from our category on a couple of the big travel sites however it's not listed available on RCI. Maybe that's why it went up.

Our balcony room got $300 obc and the kids inside got $100. And this is for the Anthem.
S.S.Oceanlover Posted November 12, 2015 Author #17 Share Posted November 12, 2015 Just got off the phone with my TA. RCI wouldn't combine our balcony discount with this offer so I would have had to pay $200 more to get an extra $100 OBC. I passed for now. The cruise price is $300 higher. But we'd get the $300 OBC which translates to "doesn't make a difference."

frank808 Posted November 12, 2015 #20 Share Posted November 12, 2015 I was able to reprice 4 cruises. Lost the $125 balcony discount from c&a though as they obc is not combinable. All cruises went up but got a net gain of $97 to $120 less when you factor in the extra obc. This was on allure for 2016.
retdon Posted November 12, 2015 #21 Share Posted November 12, 2015 I called and it would cost us $137/pp = $274 and loose the $125 C&A. No way Jose..... A family member joining us got a good deal with the $300 ship credit. I will keep checking.
finnkle Posted November 12, 2015 #22 Share Posted November 12, 2015 Prices have progressively got better since the sale was launched earlier this week. It wasn't worth it on Tuesday or Wednesday for me to change but today it was $184 (Canadian dollars) more expensive but got a $300 OBC (US dollars) so $116 better and the difference in currency so not too shabby!
