Wow. That means my leftover coffee cards are providing me a rate of return larger than my retirement portfolio right now.

Shush keep it quiet otherwise Princess might change the card design and invalidate the old ones which still have punches left on them. Ah well ! what price coffee when I run them out of top end wine. :)

On line in the U.S. in US$

Coffee Card from $33.00 to $35.65 an 8% increase

Soda Sticker is no longer shown on line, only the Soda & More sticker @ $8.05/day. No increase for the Soda & More sticker, but if they eliminated the soda sticker which was $5.18/day that would be a 55% increase for passengers that were not interested in purchasing the Soda & More package. AIBP - No increase.

I have 2 coffee cards I need to finish. I guess I got really lucky. I had four punches left on my card from the golden and when we cruised on the Emerald last spring I gave that one to my daughter. She never remembered to take it with her so she paid for her coffee the whole trip. The people working in the International cafe on the Emerald we're not nearly as skilled at making coffee as on the golden so I found myself using hardly any of my punches. This should get me through our January cruise. I dread to see how much the card will be when we go to Alaska the summer of 2017.

Supply and demand. Finding a price the market will bear. Remember, they are in the business to make a profit.

Oh snap that profit thing again is rearing its ugly head. Funny people don't get so offended when they get ripped of by stat buck's on a daily basis.

Got to remember traveling is not cheap

No they are 14days in January and 24 days in May but I can't see that make any difference, the cars are for 15 coffees.

The cards are for 15 coffees and all you can order regular brewed coffee for the length of the cruise. The 24 days has 10 more days of brewed coffee.

An email from a crew member onboard the Sun Princess last night explains a lot. The reason why the coffee card on board the Sun is $45 as compared to other ships at $39.60 is to cover the cost of the pastries, sandwiches etc that are available in the international cafe on deck five.

That doesn't make sense. All the other ships have the pastries and sandwiches free in the International Cafe without a price increase.

You are absolutely right. Soda sticker is gone.

I purchased it not more than 2 weeks ago!

I also noticed that there is a bottled water package.

I wonder if this foreshadow's a carnival like policy

banning bringing aboard liquids...

Pretty sure the Sun is the only ship that sails out of Australia that has an International Cafe. The others are the Dawn, the Sea, the Golden and occasionally the Diamond. I think those ships have a very simple coffee shop on deck five.

The Golden has an international cafe too.

I just checked our cruise personaliser - the soda package is gone, soda and more is $7.65 AUD per day, coffee card is $39.60 and bottled water is $7.59 for 12 bottles. It's a bugger, I always go for the soda package, but a couple of bucks a day isn't the end of the world.

On the Sun Princess in May the soda and more is $8.69. coffee card is$45 and 12 bottles of water will cost $8.63. The soda and the water cost increase is marginal but the Coffee Card increase is crazy.
