The information at the port, Dársena de Anaga at Tenerife states:

 

Planned Arrival : March 21, 2015 at 8:00 AM.

Planned Departure: March 22, 2015 at 18:00 PM.

 

Actual Arrival : March 24, 2015 at 12:40 PM

Actual Departure : none specified

 

Type of Stop : Embarkation for Cruise

Terminal: ship provided.

Berth : South 3

 

Most likely planned as a one night stop for embarkation of crew and staff.

 

Det Norske Veritas now reports the Bahamian registry for Empress of the Seas with the documentation, ownership and flag changes complete.

Well at least we know she is seaworthy ;)

 

Knew that two days ago. DNV would not have let her sail otherwise.

 

Do we know for sure that she is going on to Freeport or is that just one of the speculations?

 

Speculation, rumor, and innuendo as far as I know.

Something not right here according to marine traffic she heading for Germany????

Marinetraffic is showing me she is just north of the north cape of Tenerife, on a course of 282* (northwest by west) at 17.7 knots.

I think you may have clicked a different ship by accident?? Marinetraffic showing Freeport for me.

Doesn't appear so. Stats for empress match that banner.

 

I'm not sure where she's headed just responding to that specific banner that was posted.

Might be a problem with the mobile app, looks fine on my laptop.

 

Could also be that she was caught right at the time she was blanketed by the mountain from the two AIS land stations, and the system sort of defaulted.
