Kangaroo Island port

Recommended Posts

We just returned from 4 nights on Pacific Eden going to Kangaroo Island. I would highly recommend that anyone in a small group organize to hire a car for this port visit. There is very little to do in the actual Port of Penneshaw and the island is a lot bigger than we realized (120kms). We booked via Hertz and there were a lot more people who had of wished they had done this also.

We drove approx 60kms to the biggest town, Kingscote. We had lunch, visited a honey factory, visited a look out and climbed to the very top and then found a beautiful bay to dip our toes and take gorgeous photos.

KI is a great place and there are more cruises going there due to the extra P&O ships. The Remarkable's are the number one natural feature but there are many other places on the island to visit. The sheep dairy with all the cheese is very good. There is also all the wildlife on the island to see naturally or in the wildlife sanctuary along with the bird show which is really excellent and hands on.:D
