Does anyone know where is a good resource to get printed maps (preferably free ones :D) of our port stops? We will be sailing on Norwegian Gem next month with stops in Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and Tortola. TIA!

Just do a general search for each port. Most port cities will have a web site and quite often you can find a pdf map to print out.

Also check the port using Google Earth for a different type of view.

Great advice. We also do Google Map, and Google Earth looks at many of our vacation destinations, both cruise and land tours. It makes for a certain comfort level with the area before we get there, especially when you have identified things you want to see.

Hi,

I agree with using Travelocity and Google. I also search the tourist website of the port. With the competition for tourist dollars each country usually has a very good web presence usually broken down for those that stay on the island and for those just stopping on a cruise ship. That is often where you find lots of free events listed...they figure show you free and you will spend money on something.

My only bit of advice is watch the dates. You can run across a really great site or map and it has not been updated in a year or so.

St. Thomas and St Maarten have a wealth of information out there.

Here's another website to use:

http://cruiseportwiki.com/

It not only has maps, but also a lot of information about each port - currency used, things to see and do (especially right near the pier), etc. We used to use the Tom's port guides, but it seemed to want us to download large PDF files which may be more information than you want.
