Royalty X Posted May 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2016 At the recent product launch for P&O, it was revealed that Pacific Dawn (in March dry dock) and Pacific Explorer (in May dry dock) will both be getting waterslides installed. I'm not sure where they'll be exactly (presumably on the main pool deck), or how many there will be, but it's good to see P&O keeping up with the latest trend of adding waterslides to their ships. GUT2407 Posted May 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2016 Good if that's the sort of thing that floats your boat.

Catering to the families is a good thing. I just hope they warm the water for the winter season cruises otherwise it will become a white elephant. By The Bay Posted May 31, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Kids are unlike the older demographic. They seem to thrive in cold water.;)

Floats my boat. have always loved water slides and made good use of them on Carnival Spirit but have to admit the water was somewhat cool but still preferable to the microbe soup of the hot tubs. Pacific Sun had a water slide for quite some time! And it was quite popular.

mrs and mrs Posted May 31, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 31, 2016 What a brilliant idea from PandNo,does that mean there will be less kids on princess cruises during, our summer season. What a shame.
Gwendy Posted May 31, 2016 #9 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Haha. Or just going back to the way they were. Pacific Sun had a water slide for quite some time! And it was quite popular. At that time I was still working and had to cruise in school holidays. May not have been as big as the others but the kids loved it, even the very big ones. Yes, we try and avoid the hot tubs as well unless you can get them very early in the day after they have been cleaned.:D
Kiwi_cruiser Posted June 3, 2016 #12 Share Posted June 3, 2016 It will be cool for P&O to have watersides again :D (We have suggested to P&O to have them again!) We did miss when P&O took the above one of the old Pacific Sun!
