The old Pacific Sun is going to be scrapped

Just found out today that the old Pacific Sun is going to be scrapped :(

I've got fond memories of our only trip on that ship even if is only for the number of passengers that got booted off including one group at Mystery Island. Despite it being a rust bucket it had a great vibe sad to see it going the way all good ships eventually end up.

This is sad! I know she had her issues and wasn't the fanciest ship (and I know one person in particular on here who will be happy about it, despite having never sailed on the ship), but a lot of good times were had on that ship. [emoji22]

Pacific Sun was my first cruise. I thought she was the most beautiful ship I had ever seen. Been on many fancier and larger ships since, but the Sun holds a special place in my memories.

We might get QM2 in 30 years, Pacific Mary and no formal nights, I like it.

She was one of my all time favourites, quirky, rabbit warrenish but beautiful in her own special way.... we cruised on her 3 times, never encountered any problems she was clean and the crew the happiest we have ever met on the high seas.... thanks for many wonderful memories "beautiful white lady" :) ..... for lovers of the Holiday class you can always cruise onboard her older sister......world cruising .... MS Magellan ....

Once the Henna cruise line wound up, there weren't a lot of likely options for her. Old and not well designed, and not a lot of features.
