Georgetown Grand Cayman Restaurant recommendations

I am looking for a relatively inexpensive restaurant in Georgetown, near where the ship tenders dock. I am not interested in chains like Hard Rock, but looking for something more local, and does not have to be elegant, even just a road side eating place with some good local fare would be great. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.:)

late reply but ......

a lil way down the road is:

The dishes on the menu range from fish tacos and conch fritters to burgers and fish and chips, with a selection of salads for those who prefer the lighter side of life.

After the great beer and food, probably the biggest selling point of My Bar at Sunset House is its atmosphere and view. Even on the hottest days of the year, there is a lovely breeze moving through there, and people can either sit at the bar, or take a seat at one of the many tables on the large deck.

GH's lunch menu (and they have specials) .. dining is on second floor so a good view and breeze is possible http://guyharveysgrill.com/lunch.php

just across the street fro GH's is Paradise ... was good last time I was there, (Sunset is better IMO but P' DID have a turtle burger) but I see today that their web site is down for non-payment of bills ...... hmmmmmmmmm

OP requests: relatively inexpensive restaurant in Georgetown

if you have not heard, there is little in CI that's inexpensive. I posted the lunch/snack menu for one popular place - with prices

Note that the prices are in CI $

The CI$ is fixed to the US$ - the rate you get "on the street": $1US is $0.80CI ... $20US is $16CI

so that hamburger at $8 CI, is $10US plus tip ....

order two mudslides and hand over a $20US and you get no change nor did you leave a tip yet ....

or to get CI price in US, add 20% .... in a restaurant, when also adding a tip ... just take the bill and add 40% .....

just want you to be ready ... most places will have prices listed in CI .....

Having read the great posts here (and on Trip Advisor), we're still not decided on a place to have a nice lunch and "experience" at a local spot during a stop on our cruise. We want VERY GOOD food at a place within a few minutes (taxi) of where the tenders dock to enjoy the ambience- and a place that will cause us to grin when we remember it years from now. We're in our 60's and not into the "bar scene," we're more into the "food scene." LOL! Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hmmmm...we had pretty good pizza on Grand Cayman, and it was within walking distance from the port. It was called "Lucky Slice." It wasn't real fast, but the pizza was good.

I like the food at Sunset House, but if we don't have as much time and just want something near the tender piers, we really enjoyed Paradise Grill. Good, solid, local food. Nothing fancy, but great views and a nice (not TOO expensive) casual meal.
