Enchantment 4:20am Disturbance

 Share

Recommended Posts

Was anyone else on the 8/22/16 Enchantment sailing near starboard rear? The 2nd to last night I was woken up at 4:20am to someone blasting Bollywood slowjams on their balcony 2 doors down. I can't believe how well those balconies carry bass. I was waving from my balcony and (loudly) asking for them to turn it off, but they didn't care. By the time my husband got some clothes on to knock on the door they'd turned it off.

Good lord, do people have no sense? You can't make this stuff up!

You'd be surprised (or not!) what you hear in the middle of the night when passengers come back to their cabin drunk. Sorry you were disturbed but these things happen and you certainly have the right to call Guest Services about it. :)

Beginner Cruises??

You didn't know about these? Royal gives special discounts on these cruises that are exclusively for first time cruisers. They don't go out into open water where there may be possibility of seasickness - they just free the ship from it's moorings and drift a few feet from the dock and sit there for 3-4 days so you can get the experience of a cruise. They're becoming wildly popular, but if you have cruised before, you aren't permitted to book one of these.

To the OP - always make a call. Just like you would in a hotel. Never try to handle a bad situation like that on your own. (And things happen on short and long cruises) - there is a hotel director and a security director and guest services. One phone call - dial 0 - is all it takes and you don't have to be the one to deal with it.

I assume that's your description of 3-4 day sailings? That supposed to be an insult of some kind? Wow.

Not sure if it was or not but the worst behaviour I have witnessed on a cruise was someone throwing plant pots around in 270 one night on Anthem during a 14 nighter.

I got chatting to a barman I got friendly with in the casino the following day and he was telling me about the worst thing he has witnessed was a big brawl on a transatlantic amongst a group of gents in their 60's

Its too easy to stereotype this type of thing.
