Alberta Quilter Posted December 6, 2016 #27 Share Posted December 6, 2016 thanks, right now I have a good deal without explore4 but with the cybersale (prepaid gratuities/beverage card) - I'm also booked under the Cyber Sale and will not be re-faring under this new promo since it will cost us 52% more per person!
canadianbear Posted December 6, 2016 #28 Share Posted December 6, 2016 Our TA cancelled the cyber booking and put us on the V&V. Since we are booked in a suite we have the pre-paid gratuities plus now the $250pp OBC and kept the booking while on board credit. The posted fare was only $25 more so we came out way ahead. Once we add our stock OBC we will end up with over $1,100 OBC to spend-yikes. At least it's a 3 week cruise! Thanks to the CC members for bringing all these promotions to our boards. I always try to check the HAL site (or my TA) but appreciate the members discussion on here. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare kazu Posted December 6, 2016 #29 Share Posted December 6, 2016 We just booked a new cruise and there was nothing on the HAL website about a deal for this cruise. I was informed we had prepaid grats (HSC), a credit on internet and a dine around package. Between my casino discount and what ever else was going on, the price was about 25% less. When I asked for a price if we didn't want the "deal", there was no difference. Checked an old booking on the ship and we are definitely getting a deal. I have no idea what this is, where it is coming from or anything else but it was definitely worth logging in for this one ;)
Tinknock50 Posted December 6, 2016 #30 Share Posted December 6, 2016 I checked and am already getting a better deal through a TA, so no changes for me.

alwaysfrantic Posted December 6, 2016 #33 Share Posted December 6, 2016 We have a 12 night booked next October that is in the V&V promo. Currently we have Explore 4 and gratuities in our price. We paid $200 per person more than the V&V price. I realize fine print says new bookings only. Guessing that means has to be cancelled and rebooked.Anyone had any luck adding a new promo to existing booking? I don't want to lose the E4 You could have the new promotion added, but you would lose the old promotion. So only you can decide if the Explore 4 or the V & V meet your needs better. frankc98376 Posted December 6, 2016 #34 Share Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) You could have the new promotion added, but you would lose the old promotion. So only you can decide if the Explore 4 or the V & V meet your needs better. Our promo has SBC, PG dinner, Prepaid Gratuities, and Internet. Think we got a good deal and will stick with it. We have $400 OBC from SBC and ZPM so happy there. Really getting excited as this cruise will be our 4 star cruise and my 100 night medallion :D Edited December 6, 2016 by frankc98376

oaktreerb Posted December 6, 2016 #37 Share Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) Congrats on achieving 4 Star. The medallion ceremonies that we attended on the Maasdam and Westerdam this year were very nice! Enjoy! VennDiagram Posted December 6, 2016 #38 Share Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) My PCP informs me that the promotion does not (yet) apply to Alaska 2018. You're right. We are considering the 14 day RT Seattle and the V&V isn't on it. Edited December 6, 2016 by VennDiagram
Caribbean Chris Posted December 7, 2016 #39 Share Posted December 7, 2016 Thanks for posting about the V&V sale! I went back and checked our April 2018 11-day Caribbean on Veendam. The price dropped by $1200 and we gained more shipboard credit, so we had it re-fared. We don't mind losing the Explore 4 beverage package...I did a real-world calculation after our most recent HAL cruise and know we spend less than its theoretical value. We also lose Pinnacle Grill, but we've been there so many times it doesn't matter to us. As noted above, the smaller ships don't get the "veranda for outside price" because of the lack of standard verandas, but apparently there IS on-board credit given.
