It's not necessary to cash out in the casino. Just go to guest services. Or just keep the cards that you don't use for another cruise. The cards don't expire. Its my understanding if you have a balance left over from gift cards they return the credit back on another gift card.

That is my understanding as well. I believe that if you want to "cash out" you gift cards you have to do it through the casino, which was discussed at length earlier in this thread. If you go the casino route, do please put some activity on the slot machine, so you don't kill the golden goose!

jerrya72 Posted December 16, 2019 #1630 Share Posted December 16, 2019 Seems like they've changed the shipping for the $1,000 cards. I normally get a UPS tracking number and have to sign for delivery. This time the tracking number was "ShippedPitneyBowes" and the card showed up in my mail box instead. Everything worked fine just makes me a bit nervous having these sent USPS without any kind of signature required.

Organized Chaos Posted December 18, 2019 #1637 Share Posted December 18, 2019 My forgetfulness might cause a small inconvenience. We had about $600 left on our March balance and the final payment is Monday. I've been recovering from the flu for the past week and it slipped my mind to order some gift cards to cover the final balance. I remembered last night and rushed to place an order. I went ahead and ordered a $100 e-card from AARP since that would come right away (which it did) and got that applied to our balance. Then switched over to Allstate and ordered a $500 card. I'm hoping it makes it here by Monday to be able to use it on the balance. If not, we'll just use it for other stuff, but I still wish I had remembered. Incidentally, this was the first time I've actually used any of my Allstate points. I've been hoarding away these points for 2-3 years now because I was always able to use our AARP points for past cards. Now that AARP is what it is, I don't have much choice but to break open my Allstate piggy bank. 😄 We've had AARP cards come within three days (others in 7) so I'm hoping for the best on this card I ordered last night. jimcara2003 Posted December 19, 2019 #1640 Share Posted December 19, 2019 My cruise is on 12-29 and I am leaving to get to the port on 12-28. I finally have enough points to get some gift cards from Allstate. Does anyone know who long it will take for the gift cards to arrive? If I order these today will they arrive before I leave? It is cutting it close but don't want to lose out on the 10% savings since it will be going towards the drink package. TIA
snowdogsmm Posted December 19, 2019 #1641 Share Posted December 19, 2019 There is a large thread titled "Allstate Drivewise Too" that has a lot of info regarding Allstate gift cards including when they have been received. With this time of year I would add a day or two for shipping.

We have enough Allstate points right now to last us for many years to come. And since I fell a little behind on the points shared here, I've already replaced the ones I used Tues. night...and then some. It was great having an e-card again, even though it took them months to straighten that mess out, but that 1 per month garbage has got to go if they want that program to succeed. They knew exactly what they were doing when they made Carnival cards for members only. They know they're in high demand. But they're shooting themselves in the foot with the limit and, obviously, chased everyone over to Allstate. Real smooth, AARP. Good news is, my Allstate card is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. TIA I ordered $1000 on 12/17 and received notice from UPS that they will be delivered tomorrow - 12/20. YMMV with the holidays and whether or not you order enough to need a signature. TIA Man, I composed my whole post and tried to post it, but they had already moved your comment over to here and deleted your other thread. Now I get to write it up a second time. 😐 It often depends on how much you order, which determines how they'll be shipped. If you order $500 or more, they'll ship UPS and require a signature. If you order under $500, they ship via USPS, no signature. More often than not, you'll have a better chance of getting them quicker when they're shipped via UPS. A few months ago, I placed a couple separate orders, about two weeks apart. The first one came in 3 days, the second one took 7 days. They both shipped UPS and came from the same facility, so I don't know why there was a such a big difference. I placed my most recent order on Tuesday night (after normal business hours) and it's scheduled to arrive (UPS) tomorrow. If I were in your shoes, I'd go for it. Especially if you're ordering $500 or more to ship UPS. But you should get the order in today. The sooner the better. Under $500 to ship postal is a bit riskier, in my opinion, but still quite possible. If you do place an order to be shipped via UPS, create a free UPS MyChoice account. You can use the website or the smartphone app to track your order as soon as it's picked up my UPS. With the app, you can set up alerts for different stages of the process.
Organized Chaos Posted December 21, 2019 #1646 Share Posted December 21, 2019 Well, our $500 card was scheduled to arrive today, but we're still waiting. The app eventually changed from "Out for Delivery" to "In Transit: On Time." Their website said they can deliver as late as 8pm, or even later during the holiday season. I've never had to wait this long for a Carnival card to show up. Not sure if he's going to make it tonight or not. Our final payment is due Monday, so if he doesn't deliver tonight, I'm hoping he makes it Monday. Too busy delivering everyone's Amazon crap, I guess. 😜
Organized Chaos Posted December 21, 2019 #1647 Share Posted December 21, 2019 It's that time again. I've been seeing some talk around the forum about the discount Carnival cards, so just in case we get any newcomers, here's a rundown of how you sign up for Allstate Rewards when you're not an Allstate customer. It's a little more complicated for non-Allstate customers to sign up because you have to use the mobile app first. For non-Allstate customers, you must create a new Allstate Rewards account through the Allstate Mobile app. Install the app and accept their terms of service. Then click on Create an Account under the orange Log In button. On the next screen, non-customers need to choose Drivewise Only (No Allstate policy). If asked, you have to turn on location tracking through your phone's GPS. I'll go into more detail about this later. You'll probably have to agree to another terms of service. Then fill out your information (name, address, etc.). From there, I can't remember where it takes you, but it should be self-explanatory from that point. Drivewise is their safe-driving program. You can use the app and Drivewise to track you via GPS (this is why it wanted you to turn on location tracking during setup). You'll earn points by staying under a certain speed limit (I think it's 85 mph) and avoiding braking hard. After you travel so far and meet their requirements, you get points. I think it takes at least a couple days to earn points each time. With that said, I have never used the Drivewise tracking and never will. Once you create your account with the app, you technically don't need the app anymore if you don't want it. I've deleted mine. If you want to use it, you can enter promo codes and buy the gift cards using the app, but you have to have location tracking turned on, even if you don't use Drivewise. Another reason why I don't use it. You should get 5,000 points for signing up. If you choose to use the Drivewise feature of the app and let it track you, people also used to get 10,000 points after 2-3 days of initial use, but I'm not sure if that's still a thing. In addition, go back through this thread. It's a long, tedious process, but it's worth it if you want the points. There are dozens of codes shared in this thread that will literally get you tens of thousands of points. Some of them have expired, but many of them are still good. If you don't want to use the Allstate app, you can login through their rewards website: https://myaccountrwd.allstate.com/anon/account/login?campaign=145. You can also go to https://www.allstaterewards.com, but that just redirects to the other URL. Enter promo codes at the top of the page. You purchase the gift cards by going to the Gift Cards tab, then the Travel category. The ordering and shipping process for Allstate Rewards is identical to the old AARP Rewards for Good program, if you were a member of that. Allstate's Carnival cards are the physical cards that get shipped to you, so you'll have to pay shipping. They haven't had e-cards in a long time. If your order totals under $500, the cards will be shipped to you through USPS and you will not have to sign for them. If your order totals $500 or more, they'll be shipped via UPS and you will have to sign for them. When you place an order, your billing and shipping addresses have to match or the order won't go through. For orders that are shipped UPS, I recommend creating a free UPS MyChoice account and installing the app. It'll let you track your gift card order from their site or your phone, and also provides some other services, both free and for a fee.

I applaud you. 👍👍 w I'm not quite ready to jump on board yet, but I'm getting there. Just found out wifey has a PayPal account, and have over 15,000 points accumulated with AARP, so will deal with those first, plus we're still 9 months out before our next cruise. Then strongly considering going with Allstate. Thank you!
