Llyod, what is the purpose of the float out?

 

The building hall is big enough to hold one complete ship and one mega block. A ship now consists out of two mega blocks plus bow section. So this is the first mega block of the Spectrum and it makes space for the second one. The ship inside is the AIDAnova which is due to leave the building hall in August (the christening will be in Papenburg on Aug 31st with a big concert by David Guetta).

Check out the Spectrum of the Seas sections next to the AIDAnova.

Solarium and bridge below it looking nice. You can just make out the base of the North Star in front of it.

Naw I just got off the Bliss and will gladly return to Quantum class ships under RCI. Too bad this is not coming to USA. Darn it.

 

 

 

What did you not like about Bliss?

Like you we are quantum class fans - booked on ovation for an Alaska cruise next year.

Found some things too crowded. The wow factors that were advertised were just ok like observation lounge and race track.

No covered pools and theatre too small. And no good artwork like RCI has.

I like Quantum and Oasis class for real Wow factors. But I do like Ncl for solo studios.

In typical RCI IT fashion, it (the booking portion) doesn't work yet.

 

booking does work just not through that page

 

search for sprectrum cruises in the normal booking a cruise window and you can book them

 

first is 16 day barca to dubai

 

then dubai to Singapore is next cruise

I did the same route on ovation 2 years ago when it launched and there was no work being done was fully completed

 

I have no doubt ship will be fully functional :)

 

Gutted michaels pub has gone :(
