Will Emerald get back to Sydney in time for next cruise?

Emerald Princess is due in Sydney for her next cruise on Monday 13th Feb. After the tragic event in Dunedin she is still at the wharf at Port Chalmers today ...

Do you think she will make back in time or will the next cruise be delayed?

There was a report that they will miss Fiordland and will be going directly from Port Chalmers to Sydney.

Emerald is due to leave at 4 pm today sailing directly to Sydney, after the authorities have finished their investigation. If they get away as expected then there will be no delay to the next cruise.

 

 

Sad day for family, crew and passengers.

She will make it to Sydney on time. Shame that they are missing the sounds but it is understandable considering the circumstances. :(

Maybe they will travel via Cook Strait to Sydney, instead of the southern route.

They are missing the Sounds so should be no issues getting there on time. (weather permitting).

That will make it pretty fine getting to Sydney on time.

Same here...Its 2 days across the Tasman , and she has to cruise almost the full length of South Island as well.

When we missed the sounds, it was announced when we were in Port Chalmers, we came back via Cook Strait

Re: The Emerald Princess. The captain has said we will get under way around 9.20pm (NZ time) but arrival time will depend on the weather. He will be running the ship hard to try and not cause too much inconvenience. The captain has set up a fund for the family of the poor crewman's family we can contribute to. That's a brilliant gesture.

Marine traffic has her travelling well and on schedule to get to Sydney early Monday morning.:D

Seems she made it in at 5.30am this morning according to Marine traffic. Now on her way to Hobart.
