Saw the same thing and laughed about the crazy amount of vitriol generously applied by a few regular posters, regarding X. How they chastise the "cheerleaders" yet it appears the consensus is with the "cheerleaders."

How can that be???

Yes, after reading some reviews, you wonder if you will be cruising in a leaky rusty bucket! Great to see, the vast majority, me included, think Celebrity is first rate.

Cheerleaders, lets keep up the good work!

I mentioned this in another thread on the same subject. Happy to see Celebrity take 4 of the top 10 spots, BUT...

I really don't like how they have four sister ships listed for Celebrity, two sister ships for Disney and three sister ships for Princess... with the lone Allure taking the other spot left. As we all know, sister ships are essentially the same when compared to ships in another class or from another cruise line. I would MUCH rather see these rankings based on class of ship. That way we would be able to see many other classes of ships that are also ranked very highly.

Dan - a valid point, I think you can send a note to CC to make that suggestion for future polls...

Thank you for the insight.

I relied heavily on the rankings when researching my first cruise (Reflection). We truly enjoyed her and scheduled our second cruise on her as well. Having sister ships listed helps confirm that for future cruises we can confidently look to Reflection's sister ships (and X in general).

While Allure may be the outlier, it does have sister ships (Oasis, Harmony) that are not ranked. Seems that if I was looking to book an Oasis-class sailing with RC, I would lean towards Allure, all other things being equal.

Happy sailings!

I have been on 5 Solstice Class ships in the last 5 years. I have eaten at all restaurants except Ilumina.

I would rated them a 4 or 5 star. When I see a cruiser rate dining a 1 or 2 star on Celebrity I say REALLY you ate 15 to 25 meals on a cruise and all of them were sub standard. 9 out 10 cruisers rate Celebrity dining a 4 or 5 star. I question your judgement .

As a side comment the last CDC inspection of the 9 Celebrity ships 6 of the 9 got a 100 rating. No other cruise line got that many.

I am glad to see that Celebrity has 4 ships in the top 10. We are going on our first Celebrity Cruise (Equinox) later this year and I was getting a little bit worried about all the negative reviews. I read the same thing on the RCI boards and know better (since we have sailed RCI 20+ times).

Seems to me if you are discussing the same class of ship you are then discussing the crew, not the ship. Since the crews change around a lot does it become a crap shoot for a cruise (unless they are all trained and evaluated to the same high standard)? If so, it makes sense to find out who is commanding and managing your cruise.

Cruising since 2003, we have never had a bad cruise experience however, since cruising on Celebrity, we would find it hard to go back to the other cruise lines. Love the X.[/quote

Cruising since 2000, first Celebrity cruise 2006. Since then it's been all X with the exception of a 13 night Royal in 2014. Couldn't wait to go back to X. Food, service and overall ambience of the ship is way more to our liking...not to mention that X non-smoking policy allows me to enter the casino (I'm very allergic!)
