Perhaps this has been addressed on a previous page of this thread - but are the 2/19 and 3/19 sailings completely sold out, or are they just not bookable online ? For online bookings, it's slim pickings.

Edit - ok... I see plenty more on the UK site. Not sure why they're holding back for their US bookings.

hmmm, question, I just booked but when I added the reservation on the website it says it's on a 24 hour hold but I had to give them my credit card and they said its refundable up until final payment. do I need to call back and make sure this will be a confirmed booking or will it automatically move over from 24 hour hold to confirmed?

Possibly because they know the UK bookings will be more of a definite as we are unable to cancel without losing our deposits if we reserve cabins ;)?

My reservation did the same thing yesterday. It was finalized within a few hours.

Show's on hold until the payment goes through. It's not instantaneous.

Interesting - I didn't know that!

When I custom searched (the US site) for Feb and March sailings, two came up. One still had an RS and an Edge Suite available. When I selected them (test run), I received a red/error notice that the selected cabin was not available. Perhaps someone grabbed up each of them within the 60 seconds I was looking at them.

I'll either wait until the fall '19 bookings open up, or wait for Beyond - and grab one early on.

Thanks,

Tom

Don't know if anyone posted this but here is a link to a mobile tour Celebrity will be making around the country with information about the Edge.

This is a great find. I booked a cruise for my mom and I for April 14, 2018. I also plan on taking her to this event on LI, to add to the anticipation. I'm hoping by then they will have revealed more regarding the specialty restaurants and public areas. She'd love a preview of the casino :)

Anyone notice that a large number of the infinity balcony rooms are labeled as partially obstructed view even on the opposite side of the magic carpet. Can't believe that this many cabins could obstructed midship on the other side.

I was initially put into 9241 (Aqua Class 1) which when I looked at the deck plans and booking on Celebrity's website, it said that the balcony is partially obstructed! Can't believe they'd have obstructed views for Aqua Class. I don't know if it's a true obstruction or more because there is a 'hump' in the middle next to that cabin that you can't peek out and look forward at all.

It is because of the 'hump' to the right of your room. Its more of a bump-out than a hump. So I assume you wont be able to see to the right of your room. There are similar rooms on the MSC Divina. Below is a picture from the balcony in one of those rooms. I hope this helps.

Yes, that's what I figured - would rather not have that view if I can be on the hump for the same price!

Looks like all A1s on the hump area are taken. There are A2s further towards the back on Deck 9. 9253 and 9254 are available and on Deck 10 most of the A2s starboard aft are available. If you are dead set on being on the hump and do not care about being in Aqua there is a C3 11212 on deck 11 on the hump. As well as an E3 on Deck 7 7224.

Hope this helps.

Celebrity offers a very small selection of cabins on their web site. I booked the Edge yesterday by calling, and by looking at the deck plan, asked the rep for a particular cabin on 8, and she was able to accomadate me with no problem.

The nice thing about the location of Michael's club and dining areas on the 'older" ships is that they are located on lower floors.

I can imagine having a meal or a drink or two on deck 12, 15 (retreat) when seas are a bit rough.

I know that the sky lounge was a joy to navigate on the dance floor on occasion, even when sober...

I agree with you. I thought the same thing - why did they locate The Retreat & Luminae on an upper deck and far forward? Not an ideal location IMO.

They put them there on purpose to be near the suites, an exclusive area, that's the whole point.

I realize that, but I guess I would located the higher level suites more aft or mid, rather than forward. Again, just my thoughts.

I was going to wait to book the Edge when we are on the Solstice in June, but couldn't wait. Looking forward to January 2019 on the Edge!

In looking at the infinite cabin floor plan, http://www.celebritycruises.com/edge/accommodations/edge-staterooms/, I am concerned about the cabins with the bed by the folding doors to the balcony. It doesn't appear that there is enough room next to the bed for it to be fully opened. I can't imagine that it would be designed that way, so perhaps the bed location is more away from the balcony.

I emailed Customer Service and asked if there are two placements where the bed can be. They replied only one, by the bathroom. So things are not certain about anything yet.

I wish you were right, but that is impossible with the way the beds area is offset into the adjoining cabins, like it shows in the picture on the page I linked to. Since the link isn't working properly, below is what I was talking about. It looks like a big issue to me.

I'm sure the French doors fold open in a way that the bed or nightstand will not block their movement. Celebrity spent too much time and money designing these cabins to overlook something so significant.

This being said, I would absolutely prefer a cabin with the sofa by the French doors.
