Krazy Kruizers Posted February 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2017 Never had anything like that happen. Are you sure it isn't for a future cruise?
swin26 Posted February 25, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 25, 2017 I received one today for a cruise 18 months from now. Of course no excursions are available this early

Rare whogo Posted February 25, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted February 25, 2017 Are you sure it isn't for a future cruise? Positive. The booking number is for last year's cruise and I have nothing else booked.
avian777 Posted February 25, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2017 Four months too late. Anyone else? No, but I am curious as to what HAL's response was when you brought this matter to the attention of HAL's Headquarters Staff.
rlsmith Posted February 25, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 25, 2017 That's pretty funny. The IT team must have reset the time on the Database, or something like that.
Dietemann Posted February 25, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 25, 2017 Received one yesterday for our Oct. 2016 Atlantic Adventurer. I have a Norway cruise coming up in June, but was sure that Malaga was not on the itinerary. When I checked the booking # I saw it was indeed for last year's cruise. Alberta Quilter Posted February 25, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 25, 2017 I received the same email yesterday for a cruise taken last October. At first I thought it was for a future cruise that I had recently cancelled but just checked and it's for the last cruise.
Rare kazu Posted February 25, 2017 #10 Share Posted February 25, 2017 Four months too late. Anyone else? that is pretty funny. LOL. I received one today for a cruise 18 months from now. Of course no excursions are available this early I got the same. There is nothing open on our cruise next year of course (other than OBC and the standard "stuff"). It would make a lot more sense if HAL would email when the shore excursions and specialty dining actually open, but I guess that is too much for them ;)
SonnekeH Posted February 25, 2017 #11 Share Posted February 25, 2017 I also received one today - but it is ok, I am going on a Cruise in 2 weeks time!
Rare whogo Posted February 25, 2017 Author #12 Share Posted February 25, 2017 No, but I am curious as to what HAL's response was when you brought this matter to the attention of HAL's Headquarters Staff. I am not going to bring this to HAL's attention.
dfish Posted February 25, 2017 #13 Share Posted February 25, 2017 I received one for the cruise I had to cancel in January. At first I thought their counters were off because it said I was cruising in 95 days. Well, I'm cruising in 105 days, but the cabanas at Half Moon Cay will be hard to get to from Norway. Then, I remembered seeing this thread.

Rare erewhon Posted February 26, 2017 #15 Share Posted February 26, 2017 We received a message today to book excursions for our cruise at the end of November this year. Checked the ports of call, to see what was available, but most ports have no excursions listed.

easyboy Posted February 26, 2017 #17 Share Posted February 26, 2017 That's pretty funny. The IT team must have reset the time on the Database, or something like that. Probably, the usual techie glitch.

RuthC Posted February 26, 2017 #21 Share Posted February 26, 2017 I'd be interested in knowing if anyone who got one of these e-mails to sign up for shore excursions on a past cruise tried to do it---just to see what happened. I would love to know what the computer did if anyone did try.

I would love to know what the computer did if anyone did try. Just tried it and it took me to my currently booked cruise. Now, what if I didn't have one booked for the future? Rare whogo Posted February 27, 2017 Author #23 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Just tried it, Ruth. The link sent me into a loop between log in with email to log in with booking number and back to email. The old booking number did not work. Just tried it, Ruth. The link sent me into a loop between log in with email to log in with booking number and back to email. The old booking number did not work. Thanks for trying, and for reporting back. I wanted to see just how messed up this was. Or, how far someone could carry it! ;p (seems we can quote only two people at a time; I tried for three. sorry, Alberta Quilter. :()
