Yeah, nice beach for sure; however, we can sit on our deck and watch the skiers and tubers wipe out right in front of us! Very entertaining!:') Of course, we don't have topless bathing here either!:o Sounds like a toss-up to me!! Hey, give Bella a smooch for me!!:*

We like the drink called Madras, .. it is Vodka ( we always ask for Grey Goose or Kettle One) and cranberry and orange juice. Delicious! Also, I love cosmos, lemon drops and appletinis!

It's not important to me but just curious... you ask for top shelf vodka in the DL? I was under the impression that the included complimentary liquors came from the list I posted earlier (the vodka in the DL on Oasis as of last month was New Amsterdam).

That's the second vote for a Madras, think my wife will likely be trying that first.

D lounge it has always been whatever vodka is on the list. It is new amsterdam on the d lounge card. But on explorer whenever i went to the tavern or casino bar they have used absolute.

To the other poster regarding mdr meals, it was fine last week in the mdr. Actually got the best creme brulee i have ever had on a rci ship in mdr. Was not slushy like and it was standard and not banana creme brulee. Don't know if this matters to anyone. It did to me as i have never had an acceptable creme brulee in mdr till last week. Had that dessert 5 days out of 7.

I got Absolut in Studio B on Oasis last month as well. Not sure what I got in the MDR and wasn't paying attention at other bars.

Oh yeah I'm sorry I forgot this was about the Diamond lounge. It's kind of hot and miss there. The last cruise we went on the Enchantment for a quicky cruise and we didn't have any top shelf liquor in the diamond lounge. The one before that though on the Allure they went and got us whatever we wanted. Probably depends on the ship. Also sometimes they can't make you what you want either. For instance, they won't make me an appletini but they can make a cosmo.

I'm so happy reading this thread. Whenever I asked before people just kept posting the official liquor list for Diamond but not what could be made with that particular alcohol. Now I know what I could ask for.

I find availability of cosmos and appletinis very variable. Of course they are not listed so don't push it but sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't.

Also I wonder if the confusion these days is because many people have the drinks package so it is possible you could see others drinking all sorts of drinks.

I find the quality of Cosmos to vary considerably.

Recently they haven't been good.

So I revert to Vodka, pineapple juice and cranberry juice.:)

Sometimes they premix cosmos in gallon jugs because of the demand. A nice tip to your friendly bartender will get you ones freshly made. :)

Thanks, something else my wife would try, she likes pineapple. Does this have a name? Several people suggested a Madras (vodka, cran, oj) so this would just swap pineapple for oj. DW would probably like whatever is sweeter. Could just combine all 3 juices I guess.

..This is what Im thinking too for instance, we are Diamond and have gotten the Refreshment pkg which includes frozen mocktails and Im planning on using my voucher or two to order a shot of rum and my package to order a strawberry daqairi ...then just mingle them to make an occasional adult beverage during happy hours.

If your wife likes pineapple and likes coconut rum, tell her to try a Malibu Bay Breeze (Malibu Coconut Rum, pineapple, and cranberry). They are quite tasty! :)

Naturally she doesn't like coconut (or rum). Thanks though.

Assuming they have pineapple juice in the DL, she'll have to try a regular Bay Breeze.

I've never seen pineapple juice in the concierge or diamond lounges. OJ and cranberry, yes.

That's what I expected but I've never actually asked for a drink with pineapple juice so figured anything was possible. Knew they had OJ and cranberry.

I'm pretty sure they have always had pineapple juice, as I started on Rum punches, when I turned Diamond 6 years ago.

Your DW should try those as well.:)

BTW I love Bay/Sea Breezes as well.:)

On Freedom waiter brought me a drink with Port Wine and Cognac. Not sure if anything else was in it. Have not been able to duplicate it and get the correct measurements. Has anyone else had this? Do you know the name of the drink? Do you know the proper measurements?
