mkeymse Posted July 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Any major complaints on this one? I just got a rate of $81 for the night before the cruise (I was orig thinking we would stay in FLL near the airport and uber to miami on the day of) but for the price im thinking convenience alone is worth it. We don't land until 6:30 at night so wont have much time to enjoy the area but is it easy and convenient enough to some good restaurants with a 14yr old? internetwhiz Posted July 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2017 It's our favorite place to stay. Bayside Marketplace is nearby with some good places to eat.

mkeymse Posted July 21, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Thanks everyone! I did see the price for breakfast and figured we have some time in the morning to grab something from anywhere and Starbucks is fine for us.
brunello22 Posted July 21, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Toro Toro is a very good restaurant within the hotel. At the very least, just go there for the La Bomba dessert!
Rare Noxequifans Posted July 21, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Toro Toro is a very good restaurant within the hotel. At the very least, just go there for the La Bomba dessert! Agree ... we love Toro Toro.
internetwhiz Posted July 21, 2017 #7 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Toro Toro is a very good restaurant within the hotel. At the very least, just go there for the La Bomba dessert! Toro Toro was one of only two meals we ate at the at the IC. Very light fare for two and we drank water: total almost $60. Starbucks was minimal in May when we were there in May as they had it torn up for remodeling. The hotel itself is lovely. There was a CVS, Subway, and Whole Foods 2 blocks from the hotel. We stayed three nights there. Loved our meals and shopping at Bayview and we Ubered to South Beach and other locations.
JohninDC Posted July 21, 2017 #8 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Very popular hotel for cruisers and some rooms offer a view of the port - a great view to wake up to the morning you sail.
Rare Noxequifans Posted July 21, 2017 #9 Share Posted July 21, 2017 For a view of the port from your room book a bay view room.
Flymia Posted July 21, 2017 #10 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Very nice hotel, great location. You got a great rate. For breakfast the day of the cruise I recommend walking over to B Bistro + Bakery. If its a weekend get there early as it can get very busy. Great place for breakfast. For dinner there is Toro Toro right in the hotel, Bayside Marketplace is a short walk away. Mostly chains, and a few local places, but a touristy spot. Nice place to visit but there are better food options. Pollo Y Jarras is close by, one of my favorite places in town. Rare Host CJSKIDS Posted July 21, 2017 #12 Share Posted July 21, 2017 I echo Toro Toro as well as Wolfgang's Steakhouse which is right next door and on the water.
internetwhiz Posted July 22, 2017 #13 Share Posted July 22, 2017 View from IC 16th Floor, Bayview. Just like watching the port of Miami webcam. Gorgeous! RC headquarters at the right.
