Making the plane

Not very likely since you have to be AT the airport by 8am. Then add the 40 minute transit, getting a taxi, getting off the ship, through the cruise terminal.

Even with a 6 am disembarkment- there will be HUNDREDS of people in line with you thinking the same thing, that they can just "walk off " the ship.

Possible, yes. Depends on you. And you being very efficient, able to move quickly and know exactly what to do and go. I don't see a lot of people in this category.

Disembarking in Europe is easier than in the US, but he stilll doesn't seem to have enough time with the enhanced security for flights coming to the US.

I plan on being on line to be one of the first off the ship and then hustle. Are there many taxis waiting at the port? I may have to bite the bullet and pay a change fee with British Airways.

In some ports (Barcelona for example) I would say that it's fine to just grab a taxi, but Copenhagen isn't one of them.

As I said earlier, the taxis in Copenhagen aren't reliable. If time is tight, as it is for you, book something in advance

When it comes to questions like this, I have developed a stock answer:

" If you are worried enough about it enough to ask, you will be worried about from the time you plan it until you do it. So don't plan in ways that make you worry."

I haven't flown out of Miami in sometime

Could I make a 10:00 am flight

If the ship docks at 7:00 am

Thank you for your time:confused:

YES!

We lined up at 6:30am got off the ship at 7:10, right thru customs, grabbed a cab and made it to the airport by 7:50am. We were in the terminal a few minutes later (American) it was crowded but we easily made our 10:00am out to PHL. We had TSA Pre Check and were sitting in the terminal at 8:20 for a 9:30am boarding.....

Maybe that doesn't happen all of the time but talking to a couple people on the ship at the time they have easily made 10:00am flights

We have cruised out of Miami many times and I would not choose a 10am flight. That's just a little tight for my comfort level. However, we do routinely choose flights between 11am and 12 noon and have never had a problem making those. I will add, though, that we are Haven guests who receive escorted disembarkation, and we have TSA Pre check which is almost a requirement at the Miami airport.

The real issue in Miami is not getting off the ship. It's finding your baggage in the luggage hall, clearing customs, and then the Miami airport, which is a mess at any and all times of the day.

It's finding your baggage in the luggage hall,

The way to avoid that problem is to do a "Walk-Off-Luggage-in-Hand" saving minutes of time looking for

whatever corner or area NCL has stashed your luggage.

Problem with using NCL color coded tags and awaiting your que for claiming your baggage then proceed

thru CBI to the street and awaiting transfers transportation vehicle etc. is the time wasted WAITING !

Fair enough I don't know if NCL suite haven cruisers have a distinct priority color code tag and are escorted

by the Concierge to that claiming area when NOT using the Walk-Off method.

Then directed to the CBI clearance without further ado.

Waiting in the general que to claim your luggage by color code when it is called is fraught with unnecessary

stressful time wasting delays.

Walk-Off method is highly recommend in any event to save time.

Every minute saved and corners cut makes earlier flights a better possibility.

Who in their right mind with an early flight is NOT going to do early walk off. We have left our bags out the night before ONCE in 8 cruises. It was such a cluster puck finding our bags the next morning I swore I would never do it again
