OVgirl Posted October 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2017 Does anyone know if HAL will have the annual October CLIC Cruise Month promo?
Rare kazu Posted October 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 1, 2017 Just talked to my TA a couple of days ago who coincidentally said that they were hopeful HAL would be doing it again in October. So, nothing at that stage had been announced.

I cannot find it there unless I'm missing something. :) It's the information they sent to travel agents with details on the offer. Not on consumer website to my knowledge. If it applies to your cabin/sailing it will auto-attach when booking is created. No special fare code is required.

joepeka Posted October 3, 2017 #10 Share Posted October 3, 2017 If you book under the Explore4 special, do you also get this OBC? I was hoping someone who has actually booked the last couple of days could let us know the answer since the T&C's posted above indicate the CLIA OBC may not be combine-able with all rates/offers. I can tell you our experience from two years ago was that yes, the CLIA OBC and the Explore4 were combine-able. Perhaps someone will add some "today" experience to help answer. Straitlover Posted October 3, 2017 #11 Share Posted October 3, 2017 Says you can't use it in the casino. What about gratuities/HSC? I am now booked with this for Alaska. Saved $218 on cruise fare plus got the $200 OBC. Had to switch to non-refundable and non re-fareable, but that's OK (have cancel for any reason insurance, and I doubt suites will go down much between now and June). I ahd gotten a quote with and without Explore4, and you did get both OBCs, but my cruise fare would ahve gone up $678 (for 3 of us) rather than decreased, so I didn't choose that (we don't drink alcohol). I honestly wouldn't worry about the casino or HSC. Most of the OBC's that HAL and CCL stock benefit give all say this. The OBC is just credited to your on board account and charges are deducted accordingly. I haven't had an issue using OBC in the casino yet ;). Update: I just talked with our TA and she was able to get the CLIA OBC added to an existing reservation and it was combined with Explore4. Also, our existing booking is for an itinerary in early 2019 so perhaps the info posted above about select 2018 sailings is more of a "guideline" (as Captain Barbosa once said)?? :) Edited October 3, 2017 by joepeka

joepeka Posted October 4, 2017 #15 Share Posted October 4, 2017 I wasn't as lucky as you. When I asked about adding the Cruise Month promo I was told it was only for bookings made this month. That's interesting and unfortunate. Our booking was originally made two months ago BUT our TA, in getting the CLIA OBC added, did have to effectively re-book us so maybe that made a difference in us getting the CLIA OBC and Explore4 combined?? Nothing changed for us (price was the same, cabin was the same, deposit was the same, etc.), just the CLIA promo was added and we got a new reservation number. canadianbear Posted October 4, 2017 #18 Share Posted October 4, 2017 Which sailings are the "select" ones? You have to either contact your TA or HAL. I contacted my TA about a certain cruise and she said it qualified but the deposit was too much for us to commit to at this time. I "gently nudged" our travel agent and told her about this thread, she contacted HAL and said she was able to get us $75pp OBC for our previously booked January 2019 cruise! I have the paperwork to prove it, LOL, so I'll hang onto that for now! Best wishes! Edited October 4, 2017 by CruiseMGM clarification!
Msrigby Posted October 5, 2017 #20 Share Posted October 5, 2017 A short email inquiry to our HAL PCC resulted in an additional $400 in OBC on a cruise we booked 9/25. We kept all our previous perks under E4 and Signature Experience promos. Love our guy. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Rare Andi Land Posted October 6, 2017 #24 Share Posted October 6, 2017 Is this for an Alaskan itinerary? Yes, it is. I’m booked for August 27th, 2018. It’s the 2week Alaska itinerary on the Zaandam.
alwaysfrantic Posted October 6, 2017 #25 Share Posted October 6, 2017 Tried today, my cruise in the time frame listed. But no luck. The very nice agent said it was not showing as available and likely had sold out on my trip. Last year I was able to add it to my existing reservation but no such luck today.
