dolittle Posted October 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2017 Just got off the Grandeur good cruise and great crew but the shows were so out of date it seemed like the 1990s. If you have ever been on the N.C.L. breakaway those would blow the Grandeur's out of the water. What is the reason they wont have all there ships go to Broadway type shows. B.T.W the big production show played one night on a 9 day cruise.

Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 9, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 9, 2017 NCL has had Rock of Ages back when I went four-five years ago, I believe RC newer larger ships have much better quality shows and nobody should ever miss the ice show too! B.T.W the big production show played one night on a 9 day cruise. Grandeur is a smaller, older ship. Breakaway is new. I'm not sure that the physical properties of Grandeur would even be able to support a full-fledged Broadway show. Plus her theater is her only real entertainment venue. What do the passengers do at night once they have seen this Broadway show? It's not as simple as you seem to think.
matj2000 Posted October 9, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 9, 2017 I have not been to a show on a ship in the past 5 voyages. I guess they are still doing the same old "Tribute to Broadway/Motown" review??
Candleonwater Posted October 9, 2017 #10 Share Posted October 9, 2017 Sadly, the shows on Grandeur seem like an afterthought.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 9, 2017 #11 Share Posted October 9, 2017 Honestly, the only show I would go to is the Ice Show but my past two RC cruises I didn't even go to that and not planning on going on the Oasis this month.

You do understand the difference between Grandeur and Breakaway, right?
nelblu Posted October 9, 2017 #13 Share Posted October 9, 2017 We sailed on the Anthem 9 nites cruise in Aug. '16 sailing to NE & Canada. Walked out on all of the production shows--I'm still trying to figure out what "The Gift" is all about. The other 2 We Will Rock You was just plain noise and the other in 2X70 (can't remember the title) was very tech advanced, but repetitive movements. I guess, we will avoid these show, if still on, when we sail the Anthem this upcoming January. I'd rather take my chances in the Casino.

time4u2go Posted October 10, 2017 #15 Share Posted October 10, 2017 I'm confused by your subject line...why would you want us to go to broadway shows on all ships ("Please go to broadway shows on all ships"), yet you are complaining because there aren't broadway shows on all ships?

time4u2go Posted October 10, 2017 #20 Share Posted October 10, 2017 I'm thinking it was a plea to RCCL to go to Broadway shows on all their ships (and not just the new ones) Oh. Perhaps they should send their plea directly to the cruise line instead of posting it on a message board, where the cruise line may or may not see it. Rare S.A.M.J.R. Posted October 10, 2017 #21 Share Posted October 10, 2017 Oh. Perhaps they should send their plea directly to the cruise line instead of posting it on a message board, where the cruise line may or may not see it. Oh please. There have been plenty of threads directed toward RCI since I've been on this board, and you've been here longer than I have. I agree the title is worded a little strange, but reading the OP makes it pretty obvious.
