gliles Posted October 13, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2017 I don't think it is in any casino on any ship but I could be wrong. Personally I prefer the smell of a cigar to a cigarette.

Life is Good Cruising Posted October 13, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 13, 2017 Cigar smoking is not allowed in the casino on Anthem. Smoking section for cigars and cigarettes are on Deck 14, port side, poolside and on Deck 5, opposite Vintages, outside near the Lifeboats, starboard side. teddybear231 Posted October 14, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 14, 2017 I recall seeing people smoking cigars on Anthem this past May (not that it was allowed), but not staff stopped them. The same man smoked one every night I was in there.

Jasukkie Posted October 15, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 15, 2017 My husband said people were smoking cigars in the casino on Anthem recently. Not sure if they are supposed to be, but he certainly saw it.
Life is Good Cruising Posted October 16, 2017 #8 Share Posted October 16, 2017 I've seen casino staff advised passengers quite a few times on Anthem, cigar smoking is not permitted in the casino.
Elvis1209 Posted October 16, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 16, 2017 I don't think cigar smoking is allowed in the casino. I can't understand why they build these "mega-ships" and don't put a cigar lounge in them. Voyager class and Freedom class all have cigar lounges. Milwaukee Eight Posted October 16, 2017 #11 Share Posted October 16, 2017 Absolutely NOT. Even the little brown ones are prohibited. I’ve seen people who smoke the little brown ones that look like cigarettes asked to refrain from smoking. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Clarea Posted October 16, 2017 #13 Share Posted October 16, 2017 Why Bob is that unfortunate? I applaud Royal for this. Because I think the cigar smokers should have a place out of the wind to smoke that does not affect non-smokers.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums Because if you don't then nobody else should be allowed?? Gotta love that way of thinking. I'm not a full time cigar smoker but when we visited a port known for good cigars me and my FIL would get one and smoke it on the ship. It was something we looked forward to. These cigar lounges in no way affected others yet they want to complain simply because of the fact they were there.

Well, we certainly disagree on this. Smoking is smoking. I don’t care if it is a Cigar, Cigarette, Pot, Vape. Most all land based indoor areas are now smoke free. Cruise ships should be as well. Most all land based indoor areas are now smoke free. Cruise ships should be as well. I would agree for public areas or places like the casino where they cannot really keep the smoke away from the so-called non-smoking area. However, the Connoisseur Club was a purpose designed space, isolated from any other venue. It was not a problem avoiding it. I don't have a problem with a designated smoking space as long as the smoke does not infiltrate non-smoking spaces.

If one smokes outdoors, typically the smoke doesn’t saturate the smokers hair, clothes. In an enclosed area, just the opposite. Jump on an elevator or walk by in a smoker in a indoor area, non smokers know who has recently smoked indoors. The stench of smoke is repulsing to some. I must say, I have never been in the Connoisseur Club. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Why stop there, no food plates allowed on elevators, that stench is repulsive to some...........
reallyitsmema Posted October 17, 2017 #25 Share Posted October 17, 2017 Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. Cigar and pipe tobacco is limited to designated outdoor areas and Cigar Bars**. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboard. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/onboard-smoking-policy
