Pool towels

Maybe a silly question - but am curious to an answer. We have only cruised once with Princess and we recall they didn’t have pool towels available around the pool so people can help themselves or replace wet towels yourself . Is this the norm ?

We are spoiled with celebrity’s always having some available . Just wondering . Thank you

On our recent CB cruise sea day there were no towels in the bins at 9:00 a.m. ...they were all on the loungers being "saved!" Some poor soul was looking all over for a towel when some thoughtful person:halo: took one off a "saved lounge" and handed it to her. It was fun to watch.

Just came off the Regal (Sunday) and they were not putting any pool towels in the cabins. But there were plenty of towels available on deck (in the bins at multiple locations) and they also had a bin of towels near the gangplank (when we were in port) for those who wanted to take some ashore. And yes, the chair hogs (who reserve chairs for hours without making an appearance) were doing their thing. But we did witness one couple doing one of my favorite activities. Seeing some loungers that had towels and some personal items...but which not had been used for hours (they knew because they ask us)....these folks simply tossed aside the towels and turned in the personal items to a pool stafffer...telling him that the stuff had been abandoned. The folks who originally "reserved the loungers" finally showed up in the afternoon (they had reserved those loungers before 8am) and asked about their stuff. The folks who had taken those chairs just shrugged and suggested they check at lost and found.

The published policy (in the daily schedule) was that chairs left unused for 30 minutes would be considered not reserved/

And they got exactly what they deserved. Ridiculous - I'd tell them to book the Sanctuary and pay if they want a chair reserved for the day.
