TrixiePixie Posted December 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2017 Ending our cruise in San Francisco docking at 7:00 is it possible to make a 10:50 flight if we do a walk off
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2017 I would not do it. I have seen too many delays in San Francisco not weather related. Add to that the risk of fog depending on time of year. Not sure if you have TSA pre check but if not you can have long security lines. I would look for a flight Noon or later. CruiserBruce Posted December 8, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 8, 2017 I agree with Keith. Possible, but absolutely no room for error. Push the time back to about noon.
RSF Cruiser Posted December 8, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 8, 2017 Plus, if you have bags to check at SFO, you MUST check them at least 45 minutes before departure. We once got to the counter 40 minutes before departure, and they absolutely wouldn’t check our bag and it was too big for carryon. We missed our flight!!! Josie2 Posted December 8, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 8, 2017 We were in a similar situation, though with a noon flight. We walked off the ship before 8 am (first off), got a private cab (no sharing, no waiting), and with traffic got to the airport at about 9:40. We were fine. But traffic is very heavy. Flatbush Flyer Posted December 10, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 10, 2017 Ending our cruise in San Francisco docking at 7:00 is it possible to make a 10:50 flight if we do a walk off NO. It's SFO. Worst still it's US 101 once you get out of the City. Stay a few days, eat some fine food, breath some clean air, be able to say: "last time I was in SF." SadieN Posted December 10, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 10, 2017 Typically debarkation begins 75-90 minutes after docking. Another 30 minutes to SFO, could be more depending on traffic (day of week and weather). Unknown how long CBP and getting ground transportation will be. Could make it. But there’s no room for error.
